ANALYSIS

Positives: Has a thick frame with good upper body thickness, broad shoulders, tight waist, good bubble and thick thighs … Intelligent, instinctive and tough … Effective route runner in the zone … Gets a clean release off the line, delivering a solid hand punch to escape the jam … Willingly extends for the high pass in traffic and has that short burst needed to separate from the defender after the catch … Finds space in the zone and seems to thrive catching in a crowd, as he will never shy away from contact … Goes down properly to get the low passes and will "lay it out" to make the difficult catch … Shows good weave running with the ball … Shows good aggression blocking upfield, searching for the defensive back to make a timely hit … Contributes on special teams, showing a knack for breaking up the wedge.

Negatives: More of an H-back type … Lacks that explosive burst needed to get to the long ball … More of a finesse-type than a power blocker … Rounds his cuts on pass routes … Lacks the change-of-direction ability to elude defenders in the open … Struggles to adjust his body in order to get to passes thrown behind him … More of a veer-style runner, displaying few moves after the catch … Adequate in-line blocker, who needs to be quicker with his hands in attempts to engage the defender rising from his stance.
