I hate when they teach RBs to cut.

I don't think they do. They start it in HS and keep doing it pissing off their coaches as they move up. It's ok on the edge in HS but the pros BOB everything. Have to meet the blitzer in the hole on two feet, unless it's 3 step. The cut is useless on 5/7 step as you know.
