Brady and Belichick are no longer elite.

I actually thought Brady played well yesterday, better than the previous games. I'm not sure what the point of this thread is, other than to generate a reaction.

The team will be fine.

I thought Brady, Welker, and Lloyd played great, we moved the ball, we had big plays, I thought the ravens were back on their heels...I would like to have seen more of Ridley, not sure where he was at, gameplan I guess....and It kinda worried me a bit that they had to keep Gronk him to block, because it sucks ot lose his pass catching ability after already losing Ahern. On the road against a good defense, with that kind of emotion going on, I thought they played way better than I thought they would. I only saw a couple drops...one by our new TE and welker had another, I thought Brady was very accurate on his passes, and I thought the oline did well even though Gronk had to stay in and block most of the game.

Why so?

Yeah we are all pissed but it's the truth.

This team used to win games because of superior QB play on offense and because of BB outcoaching the other team on defense. This doesn't happen much anymore!

So Seymour, McGinnist, Vrabel, Bruschi, Law, Harrison, etc. had nothing to do with it. It was all BB's coaching. :spock:

People forget that change happens and when change happens, it affects things, and when it affects things, people tend to react to why? Brady plays elite, BB is an elite coach, both are doing everything they can to win, but with every team in the history of the NFL, it takes a bit more....season is not over....whenever you lose a game you feel like you will never win another, so right now, people think we are 8-8...Brady needs to retire and BB needs to follow him, but this is not the case...players need to respond....all players....all of them at every position, because without that..One player and one Coach being elite is not going to save you.

This team has plenty of talent and is definitely a contender. If players aren't responding, guess whose fault that is?

I was very encouraged by our OLINE play... OUr defensive front on 3 series were nonexistent, which was not good...I think Baltimore offensive line played a real real good game, and that was the key to their win. Granted they got away with holding, choking, armbar,DDT,Full Nelson, Camel Choke,figure4 leglock, and amongst other great WWE moves..

Brady and belichick I guess.:coffee:

1 for 2.

I don't blame BB for that loss, but we've been saying the same thing about this team for a while now. They've rebuilt, they have the talent, they've drafted tons of defensive players, etc. and the results haven't changed all that much.

If your contention is that the team performs poorly because they don't respond (ie. show up), then what you're really saying is BB needs to figure out a way to get the team going while systematically out-coaching, out-scheming, and out-strategizing opponents like in the good old days. Failure to execute/perform on a grand scale is a coaching issue.

Yeah we were getting no pressure, at that point I was so sick of the refs, that I stopped counting missed holding calls, so I could not see how much they were blocking well or if we were being held....I will say again though I did not like that Gronk had to stay in and block most of the game....they basically kept him in to block and spread the ravens out, which seemed to work pretty well, except I think Edelman got hurt at the half and I stopped seeing him.

Back then we won because of both.

Not sure we can say the same with this current defense. Can you?

Sorry gang but it is the truth.

Those two guys used to win games for us because they were better at their craft than their opponents. It's no longer the case anymore.

Brady sure looked like one of if not the top qb in the game yesterday.

Last week a poster here, I honestly for forgot who, said the arm in the first thing to go. Well Brady's arm looked pretty damn live to me. There is no problem with TFB.

Most people know, ( Hi HSanders) my thoughts on BB, so I'll just zip it.

Which begs the question: can none of the other TEs block? Should be possible to run double-TE sets that both run the ball AND send Gronk out while the other TE stays in.

Didn't seem to happen last night.

Ya I think Edelman hurt his hand on the TD catch...

Well as far as TE's, whats left? Is Fells healthy? We know Ahern is not, so that leaves Soldier boy who they looked like they were easing into a few plays but I know he cannot block....I am not sure we have enough healthy bodies to run two TE right now, last night they ran spread with Gronk staying in to block...

Our Hawaiian TE sucks at Blocking, and Winslow has not had enough practice time, but I was encourage that Winslow was already out there to contribute even if it was a small contribution.. It tells me BB already is happy with preparation...

:D

I was very pleased most of all with the way TB didn't seem to get flustered with pressure etc. I liked seeing him run that one time when the dead guy from "Weekend at Bernie's" probably could have gotten a first down. Too may times recently he seemed uber reluctant to do that.

Did anyone see Gronk level the murderer last night? The look on the Stabbers face was awesome..ROFL

:D

He stood in and made throws that lead directly to him taking a hit, he also made several moves that got him out of sacks as well....as far as I was concerned any questions that were brought up about him last week he answered, his accuracy was great, he made smart moves, there were not funny throws, no near picks, but we still lost, so.....

I prefer to look on the bright side. At least the refs didn't allow any foreign objects to be used.

:)

This team WILL get better...I am 100% positive of that. This isn't the 09 Pats. This team is finding its way due to youth, and mostly screwing up due to youth/newness to team..not ineptitude and being bad teammates.

They could have won (or shall I say should have won) both games. I would be concerned if they didn't have any chance at all to win those games. 14-2 is still doable.
