What was the last show you binged, and was it worth the time?

Forgot to mention before, but watched The Witcher.

Pretty good.

I have the books, but haven't read them yet.

Played the first two RP games (have the third, but haven't played it yet), so I was familiar with the basic story.

Worth watching.

The Witcher was excellent and I am currently reading the first book in the series. I love Sapkowski's style and both are nuanced and differ enough that it doesn't seem all that redundant.

For those unfamiliar, it is a fantasy story based around a particular "Witcher" Geralt of Rivia (played wonderfully by Henry Cavill) -- who is a sort of mutant monster-hunter-for-hire working in a fantasy world where there is great need for his services-- and while it does have some of the typical elements of the genre this one shows a rare intelligence and sense of morality as Geralt often finds that "monsters" are misunderstood or flat-out created by the same folks willing to pay him a bounty to kill them.

Fans of Game of Thrones and the ilk will probably love it. I did.

I will say that Witcher 3 is an absolutely phenomenal game. I’ll have to check the books out.

Yeah, I suspected as much, which is one of the reasons I have hesitated to start since I expect it will suck up all my free time.

Of course, with no sports on TV, I've got less on the DVR, so maybe....

The Evil Next Door.

Netflix

I may be a bit biased but really interesting.

The Witcher 3 is up there for best games ever.

The series is great due to Henry Cavill's acting. He makes Geralt come to life. Looking forward to season 2.

Binged 4 episodes last night of I Am The Night. A TNT production set around the granddaughter of the prime suspect in the Black Dahlia murder case in LA. Based on a true story. It’s really good. Will wrap up the final 2 episodes tonite.

I guess there is something we need to talk about during this strange and trying time.

Tiger King.

I, like most people out there, was riveted to the twisted tale of some of the bizarre personalities in this country that keep, train, breed and exhibit big cats, most notably tigers.

For me it was a highly entertaining boost to my self-esteem, because, much like going to Walmart, I came out of the binge feeling pretty good about my life.

There are some fucked-up folks in this world.

At one point during the music video known as "Here, Kitty, Kitty" I just held my sides laughing. The absurdity factor was just way out there.

The series has everything except humans with full sets of teeth.

I’ve missed anything about this. Netflix?

What? Did somebody paint over the glass walls of your own personal snowglobe? Yes, Netflix.

This thing is a national obsession right now. As John Legend explained the other night, it's about a subculture that you never even knew existed.

This show has:

Sex, rednecks, guns, drugs, country music, magic, big cats, revenge, murder, gay threesome marriages, suicide, disappearances,a tiger guru polygamist........it's the quintessential American tale.

I defy you to start it and then stop watching.

Lol!!!!

Tonite. When the house shuts down I’ll check it out.

Hmmm. I might have to check that out-I could use some self-esteem lol. It sounds like all the Sunday night TLC reality shows I watch with my wife, times 1,000!

Just into s3 of last tango in halifax. Don't know where, how to begin.

Most insane mess ever. An elderly couple, from two utterly dysfunctional families get married, creating one gigantic group of insanity, causing an endless string of crises.

Would be impossible for me to list and explain the endless string of disasters.

Maybe someone can have a go at it.

It's a very creative and intense item and Lori and I are enjoying it, we think. :coffee:

Cheers

Currently binge watching Ozark.

It's pretty good. Jason Bateman makes the show. Great actor.
