Looking at the Patriots - 2020

I don't think that's foolish at all. They're being used as cover LBs from the box fairly often. You haven't been watching them line up on defense, have you?

Yes Safety’s.

You pretty much have to go back to Roman Phifer for an effective coverage legit LBer.

This could be Edelman's last year - it's sure looking that way to me. Replacing him will be tough.

About last night's game vs KC
In a loss there are still signs of greatness by this team, especially from some of the young guns who are taking the torch and running with determined gusto. Wino, Onwenu, Harris, Harry, Byrd...
Great effort by the defense executing BB's plan. That was amazing to watch. Loved the camera shots of Andy Reid who looked genuinely concerned and perplexed with the fail he was seeing from Mahomes and Co.
Hoyer has already been covered well enough; let's just say he left points on the board by making the same mental mistakes more than once. I'm so done with him. He made us look like the "same ol Jets" on offense last night. If Cam can't play against the Broncos, I prefer Stidham who at least brought a noticeable spark to the team despite the int on him and the pick 6 on Edelman. That was a beautiful fade throw to Harry. Stidham can hand the ball off as well as Hoyer. Let him start a game at 0-0 with more than 2 warm up throws to see what he can do from the get-go. Nothing to lose and we may see a star born.

I thought our makeshift OL played beyond themselves all game. I'll include Ferentz and Herron in that assessment. They all played well enough. Onwenu is a beast - I saw 3 pancakes and I wasn't even following him closely. The OL can be proud of their play.

When Cam comes back I'm expecting great things from this team and I'm not joking one bit. This team will finish the last 7 games with 7 straight wins.
Before those 7, we have these 5 games:
Broncos & 49ers at home, the
Bills and Jets away and the
Ravens at home.

I see a minimum of 2 wins with 4 wins not out of the question which means a final record of 11, 12 or 13 wins for this team this year. I'm very happy with that.

As for KC, BB just showed the league how to defend them again. KC didn't fly high - they didn't cover themselves with glory last night. If they don't wake up, there's trouble ahead for them.

Jules just looks exhausted a lot of the time now. it's taking a toll on him and he should think about his future. He has nothing left to prove to anybody.

Even in that Seattle game with his high numbers, he was taking huge blows. He had one great catch where his head just ploughed awkwardly into the turf. He's not playing QB, the punishment he takes is severe.

Yeah he has taken a beating most of his career, there is no telling how many concussions he has had. I mean the int was a mental mistake not a physical one, but you can tell he has slowed a bit, and he still does not shy from the hit. Jerry Rice extended his career by 8 years from ducking under tackles and going down. Jules is not going to do that.

Can someone tell me how many practices the Patriots had after Cam tested positive?
I feel like that’s crucial to understanding poor play at the QB position last night by Hoyer and Stidham.
I haven’t seen or heard any of the talking heads bring up the fact that the Pats had 0 practices after Cam tested positive.
I think that's important.

They closed the facilities and chiefs players were crying about thats why they didnt play as well. lol. So not sure there was much practice by Pats.

I answered the question in the post: "the Pats had 0 practices after Cam tested positive."

I can't help but wonder who'd have won that game if Cam could have played.
Nevermind.
The Pats would have won fairly easily and this chart would be turned upside down.

What page is that power ranking from? It seems odd...Oh ESPN...found it. Yeah pats would have moved up for sure, but not to number 1.

If you look up DumbF**k it shows a pic of Hoyer . I hope that worthless pile of garbage never gets another snap

I posted in his starts he been inconsistent to bad. Surprise surprise what happened. He kept costing them points . No one can watch that game say anything postive about his performance. You want to see him start again.
