Week 6, Broncos @ Patriots

Oh, thank you. Much better than the abomination my thread became.

this past week fangio the erst while donks hc said this

im pretty sure he was taking a shot at the Patriots ... adding a little fuel to the fire... i wouldn't mind seeing the Boys in Patriot Blue smash some faces in this coming sunday...

Broncos RB Melvin Gordon was arrested for DUI and speeding more than 39 MPH over the speed limit late Tuesday, per Denver reporter, Mike Klis.

A little profile on Scott Novak (if you've a mind to)?

There's no way any of that is directed at the Patriots. The word is he was saying it to his own team, he talked about the adversity being good as it showed him who the whiners are on his own team. Journos believe that was a call out of Melvin Gordon, Bradley Chubb and other Broncos players who moaned about having to alter their schedule because the Patriots had positive tests.

lol, if I'm BB i am totally telling the team that it was about them... about the Patriots being whiners etc... if they don't offer up bulletin board material, make it up~

I think this game could be tricky for us. Denver has a very good D and Lock is a decent QB. It def. helped Denver that this game got moved back so they have him back at QB. Their back-ups were as bad as ours. LOL. Still, if Cam is not rusty, I think we control the line and win a close one.

I wouldn't worry about the rumors of more COVID just yet. No media member has reported it.

Re the game,
NE is 2nd in QB pressure % created, DEN is 31st in QB pressure % allowed.
DEN is 9th in QB pressure % created, NE is 19th in QB pressure % allowed.
Pats are better in each category.
Each has been strong on 3rd Down defense.
Neither QB will get a lot of time to throw but it stands to reason that Cam will have more time than Lock, especially if the Pats get their running game going early and often.

Ugh
Should know about the confirmatory test soon. Hopefully a false positive. Fortunately the Pats have been sequestered quite a bit recently which should prevent an all out spread.
Wise? Zolak thinks it's an OL guy.
If the 2nd test is positive I'd think the game would be postponed, but...NFL.

I have to imagine NFL season is on the verge of collapse. They're at least going to have to fundamentally overall haul the schedule. Maybe just make a pool of "healthy" teams every week and pick the matchups on like Thursday?
