More and more media companies (or so it seems to me, post a tantalizing caption. Then you click, and up pops a big square, well pop-up, that wont go away until you agree to unblock your computer and accept their cookies.

Often reads like "Tim you dumb bastard you need to unblock if you want my wisdom".

Well, I don't want your wisdom. I didn't go to all the trouble to enhance my security just to say ok when you say let me in.

F them.

FWIW, you still can delete the cookies, once you leave their page(s).
 
i use a completely different browser, one that is set to delete all cookies, history, etc when its closed... cut and paste the url, read, then shut the browser... i use firefox for most everything, and use the microsoft browser for stuff like that

Actually, most browsers can be set to delete cookies on exit.

right, but i hate having to relog into sites i visit a lot ... hence the two browers ... it also helps with the sites that only allow you to read a few articles per month

Thanks, Will try to set that up. Should have known it would be their, any thing you think of has been thought by those smarter than us. And implemented.
