The 2021 Draft- We Need This One

I'm not convinced Tua is the answer yet, either.

It's not a good look that when the going gets tough they take him out and put in Fitz to dig them out of the hole. That can't be good for his confidence, either.

Of course.
Not my point. I wasn't sure he was a legit NFL difference maker before the draft. Mac Jones has played better this year than Tua did last year for Bama. Not only that, he has parents who meddle every step of the way for their golden child.
I'm not saying Miami should give up on him. Just that another QB this draft or from FA would be a smart move whether Fitz stays or not.
With pick 3 they can get another QB they like for relatively cheap money vs a FA. Having 2 increases the chances that 1 pans out.

That wasn't really my point. My point is Flores thrusted him to the starter yet in clutch moments he's quick to call another QB. It speaks about the lack of trust or faith in him, which would not utterly surprise me if they were to get another QB in a QB rich draft.

Honestly I wouldn't have played Tua one snap unless Fitz couldn't go.

oh no, he has "david carr" parents??

Worse. Gronk parents. His father pushed Tua's football success starting early moving from Samoa to Hawaii for HS football then to Alabama for Bama football. His deal with Saban was contingent on a guarantee from Saban that he would be the starter by Jr. year. That's why Hurts transferred.

Tua's Dad loves to get on TV and the networks love to show him because he acts crazy and jumps around the entire game. There was a story out that he would beat Tua with a belt if he threw an interception. He admittedly raised his kid on "the bible and a belt", so.....sort of a dick, yes.

It seems like a lot of people are doubting him lately, but if Miami wants to go in another direction I'd be glad to take the kid off their hands even if Father of the Year doesn't care for the cold weather. Maybe he'd move back to Samoa and problem solved. I've seen Tua do plenty of impressive things this year and don't see any reason he can't be a winner. It was a fucked-up year for rookies and the hip recovery set him back even more.

When was last time their was a Good Florida or Bama QB in Pros.
