The 2021 Draft- We Need This One

I mean Tua doesn’t seem to make many mistakes, I’ll give him that. It seems like he has a lot of empty completions though. Like ok, you may not have thrown a pick, but at some point you’ve got to get your team downfield.
I don’t watch much college until the playoffs, but I was eating breakfast at a restaurant yesterday and some special was on about Mac Jones. No volume or sound on. I’ve got to say it was just him in practice but he looked pretty good getting the ball out of his hands. It made me feel good thinking he might be there when the pats are picking. I know all the Alabama stuff, him being surrounded by the best, etc. They are also playing the best competition though this time of year, and the guy knows what real pressure is.
Hey I think any QB is a crapshoot, but if we miss out on the top guys I’ll feel ok if he’s still there.

Tua's Dad loves to get on TV and the networks love to show him because he acts crazy and jumps around the entire game. There was a story out that he would beat Tua with a belt if he threw an interception. He admittedly raised his kid on "the bible and a belt", so.....sort of a dick, yes.

It seems like a lot of people are doubting him lately, but if Miami wants to go in another direction I'd be glad to take the kid off their hands even if Father of the Year doesn't care for the cold weather. Maybe he'd move back to Samoa and problem solved. I've seen Tua do plenty of impressive things this year and don't see any reason he can't be a winner. It was a fucked-up year for rookies and the hip recovery set him back even more.

I like Smith but I still think we can get some solid value out of Toney and or Rondale Moore, they aren't big but they will be hard to cover because of their sheer agility. Moore reminds me of Edelman (his shiftiness) but with 4.3 speed.
I also think going after the TE Freiermuth from Penn State or HUnter Long TE from BC wouldn't be a bad thing. Long led all TE's in College football in receptions, he runs nice routes. Freiermuth imo is more dual threat TE he can block and run routes really well.

I don't know why we're talking about WRs going early. We won't see them here.

Trevon Moehrig will be our guy. Safety out of TCU. Bill will drop back a few picks and take him because he can't help himself and he's worried about what happens when Devin Mac retires while we're looking at more pressing problems.

FWIW, I like the Frogs and have seen him a couple of times this year. Moehrig was very impressive, as Safeties go, but I'm gonna projectile vomit when it happens.

You might be right but I don't think so, not in this draft and not since Caserio is gone. Here's a good article that has to do with scouting and how opinions can differ so widely on a prospect. It was written in 2011 and details the pitfalls of the scouting process quite well. It's short but worthy.

Also, for those who don't have a copy I highly recommend perusing this book as it offers a lot of insight on BB's talent evaluation process.
