Tom Brady/Tampa Off-season thread

You watched the Bucs more than I last year. Do you think Gronk in 2021 is a $10 million per year tight end?
The folks down in Tampa had him pegged at a $5 mil extension. I thought that was low especially given how he played the second half of the season. I thought he was worth $6-8 mil. I think given it is a 1 year deal Tampa didn't mind paying it and it allows Gronk to be a FA next year when maybe the market rebounds and teams have money. I think what is clear is Licht will do whatever Brady wants but I would have been surprised to see Gronk leave him. It's nice to see Tampa pay to keep both players happy. They for sure are all in for next year.

Higher than i expected. Maybe BB set the market with Smith.
Gronks production increased during the season, and he showed his value in the SB. I was thinking more in line of a 2 year 15m deal.

Gronks contract is $8 mil and $2 mil in incentives. That is exactly where I had him pegged in the 6-8 mil range. If he hits the incentives Tampa will gladly pay the 2 mil.

Looks like Bucs will retain both AB and Fournette at least according to ABs Instagram post. It's amazing how depressed the market is this year.

Two more home runs for Licht. The Bucs are not messing around.

I guess White choose Pats over Brady :coffee:
The Bucs it appears are going to resign Fournette so White was odd man out. I am happy though, we need White with the style of offense we are going to run. I just hope Cam works on his bounce passes and screen passes and does not throw them to the other team. :coffee:

Take this for what it is worth, but one analyst said that White is 29 which is considered old for a pass catching RB. I don't know about that. He had a down year because of Cam. I think he still has a few good years left but that could explain why his market was so small and also why he signed a one year deal.

You've beaten this poor horse dead. Maybe give it a rest.

No. All the posts you've made in the last week about FA and spending.

"pats fans would laugh at players going to losing teams and not the pats who were winning superbowls. Now they dont make fun of players going to the pats who had a losing record over teams that won superbowl. My how times have changed. Fans also used to make fun of teams who went crazy in FA, now its the right thing to do because the pats did it."

You've made yourself very clear that you no longer are a fan of the way BB is doing things. We get it.

Latest reports still have no progress in resigning him . Brady was pushing Hard for White to join him. :coffee:
There was never anything about Brady pulling for him. I think most assumed, myself included that Brady would want him given their success in NE together. But apparently Brady is pulling much harder for them to sign Fournette. I like Fournette but he was really a JAG until the playoffs began. I thought RoJo was much better and more explosive at least as a traditional RB. They also have a second year player named Vaughn who was really good as a pass catcher. I don't know if the Bucs made an offer to White but given the Pats only paid him 2.5 mil for a one year deal, I am guessing not. I think they are more focused on Fournette for obvious reasons. I am happy the Pats retained White. We need him more given the focus of our team will be TE/RB heavy.
