For more context, Big Ben had an MCL sprain a few years ago and missed 4-6 weeks. And we all know he is Mr. Warrior. LOL

This isn’t even close to all of them. He had broken ribs in 2009. He had the sprained ankle in 2007 SB that he suffered early in the AFCCG that year. He also had the lower ankle sprain going to SB 36. There are others but that is just off the top of my head.

Right. much as i loathe THE BEN, chevss explained earlier that the sprain is what hurts, the tear won't unless it isn't properly braced.

It's medical so let me explain it to you.
When a ligament is partially torn, a sprain, it hurts like hell for a while until it's scarred in and resolved. There continues to be joint stability but with force applied the ligament is stretched (the counter force) which causes pain during healing.
A sprained ankle for example.

A TORN ligament means there is NO counter force and therefore a force applied causes almost NO pain AS LONG AS THE JOINT IS STABILIZED by a knee brace, for example.

Nothing will happen to Tampa. The league/Roger hates Bill.

yup...i'll be pissed if there is some ceremony. time for that after he retires. if he's not too bitter...😄

Never said it was ALL Brady but we don't win those early chips without him and his clutch play.
Really? Can you tell me Brady's passing stats in all three playoff games in 2001?
1 TD
1 INT
1 Fumble
He also scored a rushing TD

Not to take anything away from Brady, but there were a LOT of clutch plays by people not named Brady in that playoff series. Don't know why you refuse to credit anyone but Brady.

We don't win anything without clutch play from a lot of players. You only see Brady's play and ignore all the contributions from everyone else. There is not a playoff game we had that we wouldn't have won without a clutch play from several players not named Brady. The rest of us see the rest of the team.

Why is that?

He literally carried the Pats to the SB win over the Panthers when the D collapsed in the second half when Rodney left with a broken arm.
Not saying that Brady wasn't good. He was. But it was inside the 2 minute warning when Rodney broke his arm and the Panthers were already deep in Patriots territory. Vinatieri won the game with a FG after an incredible catch by Branch who somehow held onto the ball after a huge hit by Minter. To twist that into Brady "literally carried the Pats to the SB win over the Panthers when the D collapsed in the second half when Rodney left with a broken arm" is just your twisted view of how Brady carried the team when in fact it was a team victory.

Again, Brady played well. You should just accept he's been great and not try to twist history to try to show he did it all.

Qb play influences the outcomes of games more than any other position in all of sports. It's not about raw stats, never has been otherwise Manning would be the Goat, but about making the right decision at the right time. Some of Brady's best plays throughout his career were throw aways. Bill will tell you that.

No, QB play doesn't. It's typically critical, but not when compared with a couple of others. Pitching in baseball and goalie play in hockey generally carry more weight.

That’s funny I was at the Panthers game in Texas and the Eagles game in Jacksonville.....Brady was ok in both Adam Vinatieri should have been MVP in Houston and Branch was in Jacksonville. I’ve been to a lot of games where Brady was great but I’ve also been to many games where Brady just got the win.

Vinateri was 1 for 3 in SB 38. Brady had one of the best 4th quarters of his career. Branch was MVP with Brady throwing him the ball which is my point about the Qb controlling the game the most.

But we can nit pick games here and there. But in general if the starting QB plays poorly in the NFL the team loses and vice versa. That is why QBs get paid so much more money than any other position. A great Qb is worth double digit wins every year and playoffs.

Brady of course is in a different strasophere as he is the most clutch Qb of all time. His post season play is worth championships.

Nice recap but trust me no one there thought or were convinced they would win either game just saying.... defense wins championships like Atlanta when they never gave up or Seattle ..... thank goodness for the goal line stance but what do I know. I like Brady don’t get me wrong he was and is a great QB but as I’ve said before and I will say again I’m a Patriots fan period, Brady isn’t a Patriot anymore I’m okay with that. Doesn't change anything for me in the grand scheme of things so no worries.

Atlanta and Seattle were among our worst defensive performances in our SBs. 28-3 is what made Brady legendary. His 4th quarter vs the Legion of Boom is the best fourth quarter in SB history vs one of the best defenses of all time.

Are you really arguing that Qb does not have the most influence on outcomes? There is a reason only the Qb carries the W/L record among players. And as I said there is a reason the Qb makes twice as much money as any other position and also why Bill just spent his best natural draft pick in 20 years on Jones. If we don't find a legit franchise Qb we will never be more than a middler team.
