Those aren’t Pats fansI think you will be surprised at how many true Pats fans are supporting Brady/Gronk on October 3.

That's fine. I know Colts fans too with similar views,When you stop following a team because a player left or the team is performing poorly that is the definition of a bandwagon fan.
I have a Peyton fan friend and former member here completely honest that he was an Indy fan solely because he loved Peyton. That kind of honesty is refreshing. He just moved on and didn't start blasting every move the Colts made cuz he was butthurt about how they handled Peyton. He just moved on.
Seems a pretty open, honest, and rational approach. I respect that.

I will always be a Pats fan and my issue is not just Bill moving on from Brady but how he has GM'd for the last 6/7 years. He totally mismanaged our roster to where we had to spend $150 mil this past off-season to try to get back to respectable. He totally botched the QB position on top to where we have broken Cam for the second season. He has been a horrific GM and needs to be fired from that role. I don't care if those sentiments make me less of a fan in some people's rose colored glasses but I call like it like I see it.
Please. There is no explanation for his horrible drafting and not extending the talent from the 2010s.I don't think you have any sense of the why and it has been explained to you a few times.
i don't think football fans change allegiance per se. i think it attracts the casual playerfan. and i can't root for players to do well against my team.Been playing FF for a decade plus. As have many of my friends and students.
Not one has changed their allegiance because of FF. Not one among hundreds.

John, we are talking about second contracts to players in their prime - Jones, Flowers, Cooks. He also made no effort to replace Edelman who was falling apart before our eyes. He never replaced Hernandez and never drafted or acquired a replacement for Gronk. We did not have a true #1 receiver after he let Cooks go. So how exactly did he push the bill to help Brady's aging window? The roster was bare which is what we saw in 2018 right up until this past off-season when we spent $150 mil to try to face lift our bottom third roster.Yes, there are a ton of reasons not to extend high-priced aging talent. Bill kept pushing the bill to the future to exploit TB12's aging window. Gee, it worked. LOL
So Bill wiped the slate clean in one down year where Covid caused most serious issues on this team, he took advantage of that situation as he usually does and is building this team into potential greatness for the 3rd time. Oh, the horror.
Bitter blinders do nothing for objectivity.

That's a cop out. I gave you specific examples of how he mismanaged the roster and that is all you got?You just don't get the context of what went down.
How do you define "support".Well, they were 20 year "bandwagon" fans which really is the not definition of a bandwagon fan. LOL
I think you will be surprised at how many true Pats fans are supporting Brady/Gronk on October 3.
I truly get this sentiment in a way but we are talking about the greatest QB and TE to ever play the game who helped build the 20 year dynasty. I think loyalty to them can and will spill over to this game especially since it is an out of conference game and really has no bearing in terms of tie breakers. How do you define "support".
If you define support as hoping and cheering that they win over the Patriots, then I would say that they are not Patriots fans and I don't want to associate their fandom to mine.
Sure they could and should give them a round of applause before and after the get beat by the Patriots.
And yes bandwagon fans can last 20 years as as the team is winning. But they jump off the bandwagon as soon as they think the good times are over.
That's a cop out. I gave you specific examples of how he mismanaged the roster and that is all you got?
Cop out. It's been explained and I'm not doing it again.
BB admitted it saying we sold out to win. Please refute my points and show me with specifics how Bill mortgaged the future to help Brady.
He said that. Give me the specifics of how we sold out?BB admitted it saying we sold out to win.
I think you will be surprised at how many true Pats fans are supporting Brady/Gronk on October 3.
You don't understand, JL. To Mazz and Midgar the Patriots would have won the Superbowls with ME coaching by myself and YOU playing defense by yourself as long as Tom Brady was the QB.I don't think you have any sense of the why and it has been explained to you a few times.
And correct me if I'm wrong this horrible GM put together rosters that won 3 Superbowls in that time period. Oh, the horror. Or were those wins once again solely on the GOAT?
Lol. We'll see. I will wager the fans will be just as loud for Brady as the Pats.Exactly ZERO.
None.
But you and Middie will be.
And therein lies the rub. You are Brady fans. We are Patriot fans.
Still waiting John for your specifics on how Bill sold out the last few years to maximize Brady's window. Please provide examples as I provided specific examples of how he let the roster go to garbage. Now it is your turn to provide your support. You just don't get the context of what went down.
