the oldest penny in my pocket this morning,,, 1967
the newest penney in my pocket this morning...2008
what a difference in quality.

Then I look at a quarter.... 2020... looks like a bat on the back? I can make out national park... but. just strange

like me.

Probably not going to have great cell phone connection the next two nights or easy access to WiFi. Sounds wonderful. Then Sunday night is a concert. Going to be great to disconnect from everything.
Cell phone reception has dramatically improved in the last few years up here, to my surprise.

I give away all my pennies...

It's raining! It's pouring! This old man aint snoring!

Doggies scared, Lots of thunder!

This is an unusual event in my part of the country.
I will love for about an hour.

I give away all my pennies...
I will take them. Been collecting pennies since ws 6 years old. Lost the whole shebang when I went in the service, but started again when I became a father. Teaching little ones about the history of coins, money and recently bullion is fun. I have one son and 3 grandkids out of 5 that are collectors now.

trying to figure out how to calm one of my dogges down... and having no success. She's panting like crazy, And I have a thunder jacket on her, but probably not put on right way I cant find the f'n directions... Anyway she's panting heavily under my desk. Lots of patting and telling her in a calm voice all is good. She is still in distress. So sorry for her.

I'll trade you my pennies for your nickles...5 pennies for 1 nickle. Deal?

And you would probably only give me tiddly wink pennies. You ever drop those on a counter, they sound like plastic. Keep your pennies that don't have the shield on the back, they are already worth double just in copper.

Sounds like you're pennywise...
I do not spend any change I get (except tiddly winks). The wife and I have water jugs for every denomination of coin. I just like older pennies because nobody wants them. Some of them are pretty valuable. I do throw every tiddly wink I get on the ground (I know, litterbug), hoping someone else finds them that wants them. But seriously how can I express how horrible those zinc pennies are. Maybe if you ate them you could cure the Covid 😆 😆 😆 :jester::stirpot:

Oh my... :coffee:

Felt so normal being at a concert tonight with 6k people. No idea when my next one will be because I’m still not certain how I feel on indoor ones for the time being.

If all goes to plan, going to take Elizabeth to an aunt and uncles farm on Thursday so she can ride along in the combine while they harvest beans. Maybe I can get some tractor time in. Sounds weird but as a kid, I grew up for four years in the country next to a farm. Even rode in a combine with a farmer I didn't know. Something I would never do in this day of age.

I used to own a combine...harvested the Midwest for over 20 years.

We have been meaning to do this for a few years now. Finally getting around to it. Happened to catch them after bringing the combine down from where they store it on Sunday. I can personally operate a tractor (both a manual and hydro transmission) to an extent. Learned to at least drive in gear a non hydro tractor demo'ing an uncle's house. Used the bucket to remove a wood deck, then later on filled the bucket with junk to burn.
