We're on to Houstan: Gamete Thread

Phew.

1. Horrible start by the D, obviously. Very disappointing to see what happened last week and then that. I was a little concerned of a let down after what felt like the energy of SB last week, but still, no excuse. It's on them to do whatever you gotta do to reset and bring an energy. It was clear that energy and urgency was not there to start the game and I don't know why or how they think they can get away with that in this league. There are too many veterans on the team to allow that to happen. McCourty had the worst game I've seen him play in a while. They get credit for that goal line stand holding with the Judon sacks, but they simply cannot start slow like that. A very annoying thing that needs to be fixed immediately. I thought it was fixed last week.

2. Great job by the OL. I had a sneaking suspicion they were going to be ok even though our lead troll did the uneducated handwringing tactic all week playing into the media trollwork. That certain troll is 100% wrong again on a particular topic and he/she will act like he/she isn't. Cajuste looked good, Herron, as suggested, for whatever reason is a LT and not a RT, and great job by the interior. I thought I'd remembered seeing Herron play well in spots last year at LT. So, good job by all of them in an emergency situation. 1 sack allowed and a clean pocket all game. Granted, Houston is not an elite front 7, but I don't care. It was good to see and it's nice to know they have quality back ups.

3. Special teams. Outside of the bizarre miss by Folk on a 33 yard PAT (one of the NFL's modern mysteries) in a dome, he had another nice game as did Bailey.

4. Bad/cute coaching by an inexperienced head coach on the other side. I am making no apologies after more of our own issues with self inflicted wounds at the most bizarre times, but that fake punt gave me Indy flashbacks back in 2015. It's just so dumb to overanalyze those things and thy were getting cocky in a one score game, when the Pats offense was just driving up and down the field. Strange, but thank you very much, because after that, NE took it over. Houston deserves to have lost based on that head coach peacocking all up and down the sidelines like the game was over, when there was a ton of time left.

5. Self inflicted wounds. From the horrible coverage breakdowns to the supposed fumble (I didn't see convincing evidence he didn't hit chalk for the TD), it just has to stop. This team could easily be 4-1 or even 5-0 without them. It's frustrating to see them underachieve in spurts to that degree. There's so much talent out there and it's just been slow to jel so far. The Meyers drop shocked me. Here's Mr. Catch Everything and he's wide open, likely set up for his first career TD, and he just bricks it. It's almost comical how they have all these positive plays strung together and then do stuff like that.

Overall, I like how they didn't quit at halftime, because they easily could have the way their luck has been going and it's good to see because it was a must win. Now, let's see if they can do it next week at home vs a better opponent. They need to continue to improve and improve in their strange weak areas.

Odd how they're actually a better road team than a home team so far. That needs to change.

This was the biggest comeback on the road for this team since 2017 vs the Jets. So, they have that going for them.

Loss to Cowboys, beat Jete. Leaves us at 3-4 with the toughest stretch ahead of Jete game.
Should be an interesting ride.
Umm, you need to go away. The QB you lust for was outplayed last week on national tv and you were 100% wrong trolling all week about the OL backups. Have some class and dignity for once. You're already on here claiming NE will lose to Dallas at home immediately after this game ends.

Problem isn't with his coaching, it's his personel decisions. You honestly believe the team is going to win more than 5 or 6 games?
Who, Houston or the Pats?

Umm, this team should be 4-1, maybe 5-0. Do you even watch the games? They're in every game. They have handed games away as losses. It's not a talent issue. My god, you people are so dumb.

Lol. We are a bottom third team. Mills had 3 TDs on us to practice squad receiver.
These games are great. Nothing like showcasing your troll behavior. You're angry they won. They outplayed TB and your boyfriend with the hair plugs and veneers last week and deserved to win.

Today, they probably didn't deserve to win, yet you're angry about it pointing to a PS WR having a good game. Do you ever just look at yourself in the mirror and just wonder how you're such a loser?

Lol. What a diaster. If the Houston coach was not a moron we lose by 2 scores.
Still think this is a good rebuild?
you never bothered me but now it's getting old.just popping in now to be the shit flinger, huh? spend the day watching tampa, did you? bet you'd be throwing out the excuses if tampa was down 4 ol.

this team has fight and they are learning to win. i THOROUGHLY enjoy watching them grow together, even though it's bumpy. 1st game they've come back from double digits down since 2017, i think the announcers said. i'm seriously proud of their will.

It was a nice comeback. Hopefully some of it rolls over to Dallas game.

LOL your fucking self. Game day threads are for Pats fans to enjoy their team, not for trolls. Shove off, shithead.

How anyone who isn't trolling Pats fans could watch Mac Jones play and not be excited for the future is just looking to spin up Pats fans.

Mission accomplished: FUCK YOU.

Had company all afternoon 4 grands and a great aunt and uncle. Still saw a bunch of the game and am happy with most of it. The Pats were the walking wounded after leaving everything on the field Sunday night. They played messy but hard and willed a win out of that. People saying Culley was the reason the Pats won, clearly did not see the, what ,3 4th down conversions, one deep in their own territory. He played aggressive and it worked most of the game. He got burnt on the weird punt. I am surprised he did not go for it on 4th down all game, we weren't stopping them.

Still with all the mistakes, the pats continued to play hard, and came away with Jones 1st 4th quarter come back. Proud to be a fan today and think there will be a shake up in the OL going forward. I was kind of shocked at how much it appears Mills means to the secondary and welcome back Collins.

Well said.

Any real fan has every right to defend a Pats messageboard from troll plants like this "Mazz" dork who is wrong on almost every statement he/she makes. How the moderators can't see the source of such issues here, I have no idea.

Pretending to be a fan of a team just to troll the team's board is pretty obvious and should be dealt with accordingly.
