Mac Jones Is Our QB1

I know I mentioned this before, but when we drafted him I hollered, whoop and just was giddy to the point I had to rewind the tv since I missed some things. His walk to the front I simply loved.

I have to admit that I noticed the same thing, although it was a little hard to see him because I was jumping up and down. Body language means something to me and I liked what I saw. I wouldn't call it swagger, but he walked like somebody who expects to be The Man. I see a guy who is comfortable in his own skin and exudes confidence.

I assumed that was the "thank God the Jets/Jags/Bears didn't draft me" strut :coffee:

I told the household that walk means "Screw you all for not picking me before now. I am going to show you why you should have."

Agree, it was not swagger. It was an eclamation point he was going to put on all before him.

Yeah i loved that too, and him saying he wanted to be a patriot all along. buuuuut...i'm a skeptic at heart so i looked at it like going on a first date and the guy is all opening the door for you etc. so you're smitten. then next month he's burping open mouthed at the table without saying, "excuse me"....😄

Yeah, Mac is the guy that remembers your favorite flowers and sends them to your place of work on your one-month anniversary. Gives great foot rubs. Mails you thoughtful, funny cards "just because" and makes all your single GFs scramble to get into the on-deck circle "just in case something happens to you", but If it ever did they'd all be disappointed because he'd be too heartbroken to date anyone ever again.

In other words, he's the guy that makes the rest of us look bad.

:(

Most of the things you listed at one time were & should just be general rules of etiquette. They are lost on the younger generations.

If this has been posted I apologize

Jones looks like the better option

Mac Jones
as much as tb has been annoying me since 19, thank goodness jg kicked him into nextgear and got himself traded. i'd have hated to miss out on mac for him. jg NEVER played as well, with 2 plus seasons of learning the offense, as Mac is now after 7 games.

Jimmy has played pretty well for the Niners and went to a SB. His W-L record is impressive. But his injuries have always been the issue. At least through 7 games, Mac has shown some toughness which many had as a box he had to check as a pro given his limited college career playing behind the massive Bama line. I don't see the patriots signing Jimmy this off-season as preventing them from drafting Mac. In fact, it is probable that Jimmy started and Mac would have eventually come in due to an injury.

This stuff keeps piling up. Every week there's something new to cheer & feel good about for the future.

I wonder how many of those completion over 20 yards for Mahomes were due to YAC? We know Jones hasn't had many.

Josh Allen also sucked his rookie year and had 19 turnovers his 2nd year.

People need to pump the brakes on that guy. He's good, but he's not elite. I will laugh myself into a coma if we have our way with him again this year.
