Discuss anything and everything when it comes to the Crimson Tide here.

The Patriots have drafted their fair share from Alabama.

When did you become a fan? Did you go to school there? Favorite player? Have pictures? Memories? Video?

What else?

Discuss.

I remember the 1973 team went undefeated during the regular season and then lost 24-23 in the Sugar Bowl to Notre Dame, whom I hated and still do. I was so pissed off...

Muse, I've enjoyed your posts on Alabama football, and I believe you have insight on Auburn as well.

If I'm not stepping out of bounds, (stupid pun intended), do you have a connection to the state?

First, thank you. You're not stepping out of bounds. I've no connection to the state, I didn't go to Alabama. But I been following them for a while now. 😊

@chevss454 is the member who is knowledgeable about Auburn.

I was a young teenager in the 70's, and those two bowl losses ('73 and '75) by a total of three points still rub me to severe chappedness.

Bucket list is a night game at Bryant Denny Stadium. My only connection to Tuscaloosa is two mission trips rebuilding at the big tornado. During the second game, I actually went to a Maryland vs. Bama NIT Tourney game. That was fun.

Thanks so much for your contributions in helping Tuscaloosa rebuild from that devastating day.
I promise your work is being still being held close to many hearts.

Funny, I was just going to mention my least favorite 'Bama memory, of my Irish losing the Natty to them a few years back...

The biggest take away from trips there is how to build a safe room that is supposedly able to withstand an EF-5 for five minutes and that sometimes people do pay attention to what I choose as a career. I work in local tv and I got annoyed at the weather people at my previous job over reacting. The last trip, the home owner was telling us that normally they don't pay attention to the local weather people. The lady at the house I worked on last said for some reason that time it seemed different and that she took shelter at her sons house. Her house wasn't completely destroyed but wasn't livable after. The people who lived next door took shelter in their basement. Either all didn't survive or very few did. I also was there when a student from the college got drunk and fell into the black warrior river from a boat. Being in local tv myself, I seen all the news vans by the river on a morning walk and asked what was going on. I was wearing a work jacket and after I explained to the reporter that I wasn't there for work after a "are you kidding me" remark, she told me what happened. I have also been to NOLA three times doing the same thing after Katrina. Nashville once, and Henryville, IN and Washington, IL. The last two were day trips only weeks after tornadoes. That was an experience in itself. Seeing the "hot zone" (area of most destruction) on tv is far different from in person. In 2025 I get a third week of vacation and I'm either doing another week mission trip or doing a week with my church at a middle school summer camp. Going from four weeks vacation to back to start after losing a job makes it hard to do much.

This is the play that killed Bama in that game. ND had the ball 3rd down from their own 3 yd line. A stop here would put Bama in great shape for the win. I was in disbelief.
Dave Casper was the star TE on that ND team but Parseghian called the pass to go to a little used TE named Robin Weber. 34 yds.

Gutsy af.

This is first game I remember seeing a team go No Huddle.
Cosell, Schenkel and Bud Wilkinson with the call.

We need a "Hate Notre Dame" thread :)
Nd is another night game I want to get to for football. Probably more realistic possibility over bama since notre dame is only about three hours away (also a Purdue night game on my list, prefers the iu at Purdue old oaken bucket game). I think watching Rudy and Hoosiers is a requirement here.

You should try watching Rudy on the ND field/jumbotron, with the student body...

Good golly Mrs. Molly, they can't do this to me in my older age what they did last night. I mean, great win, but 4OT messed with my emotions. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

We were man handled and not in a good way. But won't get into the game further.

Onward to Georgia which I have not fully checked out so have some catching up to do. My confidence in the game is meh it will still watch.
