Week 18 Dolphins Gamete thread

He's mocked widely on this forum but he's been excellent all season. Talk about someone making the most of what he's been given. he was never the quickest, the strongest or the most elusive. But he just plays to his max every week, I have huge respect for him. Seems to be someone held in high regard as well by Bill, the coaches and his teammates.

There's another decision that we didn't get. When Howard scored on the Pick 6 he did the Marshawn Lynch crotch grab in the endzone. Why no penalty? That should have been called straight away to be enforced on the kickoff.

Bourne was hit in the head again and no call. Gunner was hit in the head as he went airborne to try and get more yards, no call. If the league is serious about eliminating these damaging headshots, they have to get tough and let New York intervene when they see it. It has to be eliminated.

We're now in a position where we're not getting 50/50, even 60/40 or 70/30 calls for whatever reason. Again, holding galore on our defensive line at multiple times, no calls. Bolden's penalty was nonsense and should have been called back.

Don't discount Patricia for why this defense looks as soft as baby poo.

What's he got to do with it? He's not the DC.
I believe he has a lot of say in the defense. I don't believe Bill is letting his son run unchecked. I mean look how soft the defense has become this year. To me that speaks of Patricia's fingerprints.

I am surprised at the criticism of McDaniels. I really think this has been his finest season bar none. You can criticize the play calling being conservative but I think it's pretty obvious that Jones is not ready to be unleashed fully in terms of being able to read the defense and also his arm strength.

Going forward Bill has got to put more dynamic playmakers on this offense for this team to truly contend especially if the defense is going to play soft as poo.

Everything I have seen points to Patricia being more in to scouting and analytics, perhaps taking some of Ernie Adams role.

The defense is Steven and Jerod and BB.

I think injuries played a role yesterday.

He literally has nothing to do with the defense....Mayo, Steve and Brian Belichik and DeMarcus Covington run the defense. Mayo is probably the most senior and is being touted for several HC positions.

Because Goodell relaxed on the celebrations and even put those pointless end zone cameras, but better not be near anyone or you get slapped with a 15 unsportsmanlike penalty for taunting. It's truly idiotic.

BB has been at the top of defenses playing like pussies for a number of years now. Blame the DCs all you want, but if BB didn't like it then he'd have made a change by now. It's clearly on purpose.

One thing for sure after seeing him play yesterday. We got he better Alabama QB. I’m not impressed with Tua at all. I think he’s poor.

Very poor. The Dolphins have done a good job of salvaging him by running a gimmicky offense that sort of works for him, but overall he showed how mediocre he is time and time again yesterday.

Something a bit perplexing. The commentators mentioned at one stage that the Dolphins were gasping for air. Some of them were on Oxygen on the sidelines and the Patriots looked fitter and in better shape. I heard that and I thought, great, let's just run the ball down their ass, relentless, just kill them. It's concerning that we couldn't hammer it home yesterday even though we were in a big hole.

Did Wino even play yesterday by the way??
