Black Monday - version 2021

Watson to Chicago for picks and Fields?

Would the ownership in CHI pull that trigger?

Do they have the picks?

They traded up to get Fields, so most likely not.

The Bears gave up their first-round selection this year (No. 20), their fifth-round pick (No. 164), their 2022 first-round pick, and 2022 fourth-round pick.

Why would Houston want Fields? Mills is doing alright. Watson to Chi? I doubt it. Chi should keep Fields, continue to develop him as a backup if they do pick up Watson then trade him after 2022 and get something for him. It all depends on the price for Watson. 3 1sts and the equivalent of 2 2nds/2 players is too steep imo. Watson hasn't played in a year.

Wasn't all that long ago that we were saying the same thing about Todd Bowles
I think Saleh’s a different cat. Bowles knew D but was not a “leader of men”. The jury’s still out on RS but I like the vibe he brings.

I'm not trading Fields for Watson. I think Deshaun Watson's a top 10 QB, but I think Fields' ceiling is higher. Not to mention he's not being sued by half of Texas.

I don't see it happening either. It was a thought that popped into my head when Flores was announced as a CHI candidate.

But you think Watson<Fields?

Now that Judge is out, do Giants target Flores?

Flores is an NY native, and that would sway Watson to go to them, which would potentially get them a legit QB. And it would keep Flores the hell away from the AFC. It makes too much sense.
