he had high level coaching for decades. no benefit from that?
Sure but Brady wasn't dependent on it. He has proven that the last 2 seasons.

Playoffs with a rookie QB.

I'd say pretty damn good.
LOL. 1-3 the last two years over the final four games. If he loses Saturday night he will be 1-2 in the playoffs without the Goat.

There are bound to be growing pains when there are almost full reboots. Any other team retooling takes 2-3 years to break even. Bill took 12 months to make the playoffs.

You can choose to look at it objectively, but I know that's not your thing.

Your loyalty to the Patriots never ceases to amaze :ROFLMAO:
Once Bill leaves, I will be much happier in my fandom. I really hope he jumps to the Giants this off-season.

One thing is for sure - Bill is MUCH more dependent on high QB level play than Brady is on high level coaching.

Again, maybe in 2021. That was absolutely not true of Brady in 2001. You're talking about a guy that has played for over 20 years, much of it under the GOAT coach. Brady was smart enough to accept Bill's coaching and he got the benefit of absorbing it for two decades. That is why he may be less reliant on coaching than many other QBs, and not because he's some gifted football mind that hasn't ever needed a good coach in his entire life.

Also, please tell me, which coach isn't heavily impacted by quality of QB play?

Named a coach you'd rather have than Bill? And it can't be Arians, since you've already admitted he's a coach in name only.

Winning is always based on transcendent players, specifically the QB. Brady transformed the Patriots just like how he is doing with the Bucs now. He is an organizational transformative player.

I would take Sean McVay in a heartbeat. Vrabel as well.

Funny BB has schooled both of them.

Hmm...
Bill has become antiquated in his team building philosophy. If he does not build a more dynamic offense then the Patriots are never going to be true contenders in the AFC.

You're telling me that in 2001 he was a transformative player? The guy who prior to 2007 wasn't putting up gaudy stats at all and relied on his defense and run game (some years more than others) to win a large portion of those playoffs games.

I didn't realize Tom coached all positions, or that guys like Smith, Brown and Patten were willing to be coached by a 199th pick fresh into the league.

Also, it's ironic to suggest Brady didn't need or benefit from coaching when he has stated the exact opposite numerous times throughout his career.

Who he is as a player now is not who he was in 2001 or 2005 or 2009. He's the GOAT, but to suggest that he was destined to be the GOAT regardless of what team and coach he was paired with is ridiculous. I'm sure to some degree he "outgrew" the need for coaching (relative to when he was younger) but that in itself is a product of the quality coaching he received during his career.

The blind love spewed here is truly remarkable.

What the…?

Do you honestly think that this is coherent logic?

After 20 years being coached over and over again by the same person, do you THINK that person may have taught you enough to stand on your own two feet?

Wow.
