Patriots Offseason 2022

Okay, so I'm recovering from COVID currently, and this is a real thing. It's been about 4 weeks since my diagnosis, and I can't get through reading a story to my kids without getting winded, never mind a flight of stairs.

That said, I know others who had a tough case and seemed to come back with no serious effects...
All the best.

Cheers

He looked good until he got Mac nearly killed against the Cowboys on a blindside hit, which led to a fumble. He seems to have gotten effectively redshirted after that. Maybe he gets another shot next year if Trent Brown isn't re-signed although it would be a pretty big downgrade.

I'd forgotten about that, but you're right. Not another injury but a mid-game benching. I believe that was Randy Gregory that beat him clean and he was really on fire back at that point in the season, but it was maybe the hardest of all the brutal hits that Jones got all year long. We were in desperation mode at that point and Cajuste had likely never faced anybody as fast as Gregory, but I can't make excuses just because I liked the guy in College and he'd done OK against Cleveland. He's gotta be better than that, so we'll see how it goes.

He had a neck injury his rookie year, which had him inactive nearly all season.

This year he was sent to IR pretty early on with a knee injury.
I remember getting injured his rookie season, I never knew the injury though.

If Keene can't play FB, why not try a guy like Asiasi? He can block and he is a big boy when he runs.

On the Cajuste missed block, looks like he should have lined up a yard back to handle Gregory. He looked beat before the snap. Was that play supposed took like a run, and Dallas knew better? Is Cajuste supposed to adjust to the D alignment?

Didn't Keene also have a neck injury or something similar that sounded career threatening? Or am I misremembering?

All I see are arms and legs flailing when I see Keene run.

looking forward at 2022. We can all see that this team is still being built for the future. That being said with all the coaching talk about who run this or whos fault is that, who says the coaching isn't in transition also with all the turnover they have had in the past years. To me it works just like bringing players in every year.
