2022 Rookie Camp, OTAs, Mini Camp, Mandatory Mini Camp And Training Camp

It is a extremely important make it or break season for 2020 Draft picks. Injuries & production overall been a issue.
I agree. The more draft picks produce from the last 2 years and hopefully this past draft, the shorter the rebuild.

My new favorite guy to make the team. Genuine and not at the same time.

I got interested in him during the preseason last year. He wasn't what you would call an impressive physical specimen to look at him, but he moved pretty well, showed that he can penetrate and generate pressure and generally impressed versus backup players. He was better than I expected. I'm not nuts about the decision to try him on offense, because I think our depth is better there and he'll likely have a more uphill climb to sticking at a new position, but that's based solely on a guess. Maybe he'll be a natural as an OL.

I am sure I place more faith on BB and his staff than most. They must think the best way for him to be of value to the Pats and his own career is as an OL.

And I like the way he sounds. His brain is on.

Jerry's tc report, all new with pads!

Good Stuff from Jerry. loved this line:

" Brenden Schooler....... you can see him filling that novelty role as the Pats white defensive back, in the mold of a Nate Ebner or a random Ventrone brother. "

Barmore is wrecking our OL in TC. The guy is a beast.

I heard he had Strange on rollerblades a few times, so that kind of reiterates one of the concerns with the rookie. That he's not great at anchoring. I won't get worked up over it until we have a baseline to go on, but I'll be watching Cole closely to see if the worries might be legit. Barmore is going to push a lot of guys around this season and really make a name for himself. All he
needs is a little help so teams can't continually focus on stopping him.

Lazar said that he has seen a lot of missed assignments on the Oline and fixing that should be relatively straight forward.

However in regards to the wide zone run scheme, that is difficult to learn because it requires a lot of coordination between all the linemen and running backs. He did say that it could take a year for it to function well.

Onwenu is no slouch and Barmore rolled through him, too. Something to consider before judging Strange.

Is anyone else reading these reports on our O getting the vibe that our new O is patterned more after McVay's Rams O than it is Shanahan's 49ers' O?
Sure seems that way to me and has me questioning if we have the speed to pull it off.
