2022 Rookie Camp, OTAs, Mini Camp, Mandatory Mini Camp And Training Camp

Reports sound more positive than they did for Bethel Johnson. Which is good, because I remember saying something pretty similar to this when Bethel was a rookie.
Speaking of that, what about Terry Glenn??? Is her bust in Canton Yet?

Cheers

Anyone hear anything on why Caley has been away from the team this week? Seems odd for a coach to miss a week during training camp.

From my notes in 2014 about BB's hx of failed WR draft choices: Bethel Johnson was All Everything in Texas in HS and then at Texas A&M. Most receptions, most yards, best avg/rec, best return avg & the list goes on and on. He had worlds of natural ability but he wasn't dedicated to working on his craft or his conditioning. After 3 years, BB was fed up. Sean Payton thought he could straighten Johnson out and acquired him in a player swap but released him after only 9 weeks, questioning his dedication to football. It's hard to believe someone with so much talent wouldn't work to get into football condition but Johnson failed conditioning runs with the Eagles and then the Texans then couldn't make it with the CFL Argonauts. He was lazy and simply didn't care.

Massive disappointment, except for one, shining moment on a frigid January night in Foxboro in 2004 against Tennessee...

From Lazar - A summary recap after 2 wks of camp

"The biggest question after two weeks for the offensive line is, will there be any scheme-related casualties? Some of the bigger power blockers, such as Mike Onwenu, could lose out to more athletic options if the zone concepts are here to stay."

The great thing TE wise, is that Mac forged a great on-field relationship with Hunter very quickly and that should improve even further this season, plus, Jonnu should be a lot better as well. Mac might well have some great weapons all over the field when you look at those two added to Bourne, Meyers, a better-looking Agholor, Parker, the prospect of Thornton and then a very strong looking RB corp to top it off.

Lazar's got a long, long way to go before he gets on par with his local NFL/Pats media members. He's WAY to positive...

He had his moments...like a key KR for a TD to end the half against the Colts. That might have been 2004 as well, now that I think about it

Any good moment he had was in his rookie year.

Ah, the Mazz posting protocol. I don't like him so nothing he did/does/will do is any good. 90+ yard KO return for a TD? It was all holding and blocking-in-the-back non-calls.

I'm not making it up. Unless you want to count college.

Edit: Also, I constantly defend Bethel Johnson's rookie year, just like I do Maroney's. I don't know why they fell off. I don't think it was Bill Belichick's fault necessarily, so neither of them are draft busts to me. 🤷
