Patriots Offensive Line

Keep it civil, guys.

Grogan, you need to stop insulting/attacking/belittling people for their opinion.
Are you kidding? This guy does nothing but attack people for their opinion, and I wasn't even originally responding to him. Anytime anyone says anything remotely critical he's calling people stupid or "not real" Pat's fans, has he ever even gotten a warning?

Do they keep the same OLine or mix it up this week. I was pleasantly surprised that the right side wasn’t terrible. The left side almost got Mac seriously injured. Also the bench is terrible, don’t ever rotate in Cajuste or Herron again.

.

You're welcome to report posts if you see fit, but attacking people for differing opinions is not the way to go.

This is about Boston Tim? Yeah, he's a fucking digital menace. Ban his ass, STML! :coffee:

Oh I agree, it's too bad the concept doesn't seem to apply to everyone equally.

So, something occurred to me overnight. This battle that we're seeing, I don't think it's about pro- or anti- Belichick or Brady (though that's part of it, and the catalyst.) I think it's about the sports media and attitudes.

Two things happened over the last ~20 years: Patriots dominance (along with solid success in other main sports) ...and the internet. The last time the Patriots weren't a dominant franchise there was no option for local sports except WEEI, Shank & Co.

I wonder how much of the resistance to going back to one is a resistance to the other? I wonder how much signs of losing the dominance are triggered with the return of "the negativity in this town sucks."

And in both directions. For me, I hear the old Boston Sports Attitude negativity and I think going back to that is worse than the futility.

100%. The issue that is happening on here is there are PP's that are cheering on the return to negativity. 20 years of ridiculous success was not enough to rid their minds of sports life "before".

I think that those of us that live elsewhere are better able to appreciate the last 20 years. Sounds crazy at first but consider the contrary football fandom lives of a Lions fan vs. that of a Patriots fan. I am a lifelong Patriots fan, but also a past Lions season ticket holder. I have close friends whose families have had Lion's season tickets for 60 years. I have walked the halls of the Silverdome (no wonder I haven't had a covid symptom) and Ford Field. When you look into the faces of die hard Lions fans leaving heartbreaking loss after heartbreaking loss one can't help but develop a deep appreciation for what the Patriots have given us. And trust me, unless you experience it personally, few can really appreciate the football devastation of the fans here or the fans of MANY other teams.

So call me a homer, fine. But don't be surprised when I take the negativity spewed by what I deem unappreciative and determined to be negative "fans" and spit it back.

Bullshit, I watched the likes of Tommy Hodson and Hue Millen QB this team, so by your logic we should just be happy to suck now because we had a historical run? It's one thing to acknowledge a transition, it's another watch a high-school offense be fielded by a guy that's never called an offense play in his career. How's Mac look? Does he look anything like he did last year? Oh, that's right, we should all be thankful and just shut up while they run this kid.

That is as stupid a post as you have made. And there are many to compare.

LOL. The entire meaning of Flag's post and my response was completely lost on you, eh?

He's not a pinky. He's a Pats fan that wants the best for his team.
I hope you're right. We'll see how he reacts to the team he "wants the best for" beating the Steelers on the road. Beating a team that beat last season's AFC representative in the Super Bowl last week. We'll see how pleased he is. I'll just wait patiently to hear from him. Hopefully, he won't have to count on you to carry his water like last time,...

I've lived long enough to learn that there are some people who aren't happy unless they are unhappy about something.

Here’s the thing though. People like me want BB to win another ring. It makes for great drama if BB can do it after TB12 just got his 7th ring. And I want BB to pass Shula. But at the same time there are glaring things worth pointing out like unproven OC, shaky OLine, multiple overpaid bad players wrecking the cap, it’s ridiculous if valid criticism isn’t allowed. Reminds me of last year starting 2-4 and certain blind homers were in total denial and not objective.
