Absolutely correct. The draft weenies scream, "WTF are they doing??? He was no more than a second rounder! We're screwed!" Well, if the guy ends up being a real, contributing player, which often happens, no one remembers or cares where TF he was drafted nor do they remember.the guy drafted after him whom we could have had who ended up a bust. It's all such hindsight, phony BS. It's particularly disappointing when usually responsible media people get caught up in and engage in that absolute nonsense. And it happens all the time.
This is such an ignorant comment it's comical. No it's not nonsense, numbers and draft history count, pretending they don't just make you look foolish. The fact of the matter is early rounds produce more starters and NFL talent than the later rounds, proven fact. See many star QBs that were taken in the 7th round? How about just starting QBs? Didn't think so, the only thing remotely truthful in your comments is that if he can play no one will care. If he can't then once again Bill will have missed on a wide receiver like he did with Harry, when he took him leaving six other impact wrs on the board. Yes rounds matter, you think Mac Jones would have been there in the 3rd?

Your responses to the posts from other people bear almost no connection to what was written. When I read some of your responses I'm reminded of the time I asked a space-shot acquaintance I hadn't seen in awhile how his family wss doing. He looked at his watch then at me and responded, "Six fifteen" Like that guy, you're hopeless.

Really, then I guess you just perceive only what you want to. I responded to your post in which you go to great length to claim that the draft projections are essentially irrelevant. That it doesn't matter what where a player is picked, that the media knows nothing and all of the draft evaluation is meaningless. My response was to point out that you are wrong on every level. Draft history proves you are wrong in terms of player production in relation to draft projections and where players were actually taken. Additionally it's also a self serving narrative that the media and draft pundits know nothing, they actually get it right a vast majority of the time in terms of player projection. Here is the truth, Bill went way outside the traditional projections with every player he took in this draft and now the ********* are trying to make themselves feel better about a draft class that has been given among the lowest grades in the league. If this conversation and the general narrative is too difficult for you to follow, then you probably are one of the *********, and simply don't like anyone questioning Bill, or the idea that every single player in this draft class was over drafted base on conventional opinion.

LOL, "Ignorant"? I've yet to see you bring anything to the table in the way of honest debate or counter argument. It seems all you can do with that 75 point IQ is wave your Pom Poms and call people names when the say something you don't like.

I disagree to a point, Jones will actually need to connect a few times on those plays for defenses to respect it. They're not going to double team him just because he's fast. And has to first prove he can beat press coverage fast enough to even have time to run down the field. If he/they do those 2 things then yes you have a point it will open plays underneath and seam routes too.
This is very true, overall speed in and of itself means very little at the WR position. Bethal Johnson's 4.26 40 time didn't do much for him on the field, neither did Tony Simmons 4.28 40 help him become an NFL player. Yet on the flip side, Deion Branch, Troy Brown, and Julian Edelman were no burners but could get open on almost every play. Whatever this kid is going to become on the field, it's safe to say that raw speed or lack lack of speed won't be the reason he does or doesn't succeed.

So you say this to one poster :

"This is such an ignorant comment it's comical. "

And I reply to you:

Sincere apologies. Through my most grievous Fault. I thought you were inviting me to treat you exactly how you wanted to be treated.

Do unto others, etc.

Why the tears? Don't pretend like you care. Your team is 2-2 right now.

PS - Nice job doxing yourself too lol
LOL. The tears were sarcastic. I told everyone here that the crap days were coming as soon as we let the GOAT walk when he had multiple years of championship football left. Now here the Pats are behind the JETE in the basement with both the starting and back up QBs hurt. But that Alex sure is a quack, huh? LOL

He is a quack, the very definition of one.

And have to see seen Tom actually play this season? He had Multiple seasons left?

And you're eh, trying to suggest what with the stats? That Tom is decidedly middle of the road as we've been saying? OK.....
I'll take a quack when the starting QB never misses time.

Because he's not mobile Mazz, never was, never takes risks running the ball because he can't. First sign of trouble and he passes to the fans in the stands. This year though might be trouble, he doesn't have the O Line to protect them as he usually has and he is took some bad hits yesterday and on the strip sack he came down awkwardly on his right shoulder. He can't keep taking these hits.

Top 10 in most categories is middle of the road?

LOL. We have been talking about him for 2+ decades and the hits he takes. It doesn't matter, he always gets up and plays.

I might have to make use of the ban button if this continues.
Ive been extremely positive about yesterday's game. Zero trolling. Posting the standings after 4 games was in good fun, hence the crying emoji.

Mazz, I have you on ignore so I can't see anything you've said over the past several months, but I very sincerely ask why you continue to post here. I'm guessing because it's entertaining?

You're not here to support the Patriots and your presence here seems to cause others (and yourself) unnecessary stress/conflict. I get that's part of the fun, but I think it went from fun -> toxic/bitter/negative quite awhile ago.

I tend to think that so long as the Pats are losing -or- Tampa is winning, you'll be here because either of those conditions gives you the ammo you need to perpetuate this endless griping/bickering over the Belichick-Brady ending.

Ive been a part of this community for 8 years. That is why I post here.

Check out the GB thread - I am here to support the Pats. I was very impressed with Zappe and am happy that the team now has 2 young good Qbs to work with and hopefully means the end of Hoyer as a player on the roster. It is no secret, I am counting the days until Bill is gone but I am hardly the only one that feels that way on this board.

You may believe this. It isn't true, but you may just believe it.

Im not sure there is one given how cheap Bill is, but Collins is not the answer. He can't play anymore.

In you professional opinion?

In your mind, Mazz22 > Bill Belichick.

Do you realize how insane that is?
