Week 4 2022 Pats at Packers

So you just give up on trying to win the game then? lol
I think you consider a play action pass on 2nd down, planning on running on 3rd and 4th to get what you need. Help the kid out by passing when they don't know you're passing, then running on 3rd when they're expecting a pass to set yourself up to run on 4th & short if it's needed.

The way they did it, when the 2nd down run was stuffed not only did everyone in the building know they were passing on 3rd and 5, they knew they were targeting the 6-10 yard range, and most likely an out from a slot or TE or an in from a WR.

It was like the return of Raymond Berry: run, run, pass, punt.

IMHO they weren't the better team. Total disagree on that part. I thought overall they matched up well. And one flag here or one TD that wasn't one it be different. Just my opinion.
Plus, today I learned (and watched a video of it online), that a Patriots receiver was held by a Packer on third down, the last time the Patriots had the ball, in overtime. The referees messed that one up. The Patriots may well have driven for a td, or a field goal, to win the game. So, I'll have to say, you may very well be right, that the Patriots were at least as good as the Packers, in that game.

Tell that to my hubby. 🤣

Bill has shown his clear coaching brilliance imho over the past few years since that former player left.

You look at the games v KC in 2020, the home games V Tampa and Dallas last season and now the GB game, and how he literally pushed those clearly much better teams, all the way.
B fucking B is the GOAT...Kraft got lucky to find, friend, & hire him! Otherwise...Dom Capers!

The spirt in this team is f**king awesome. The energy, the camradarie is all there. You can see it in the below. Harris is a great motivator on those sidelines and it maybe only a few seconds of footage, but those players seem to like Matty. Mills also was doing some coaching on the sidelines.

Can't fault the team spirit with these guys. And Andrews says it best at the end.

On the sidelines prior to this series, BB told Zappe he'd have a wide open receiver on this play.

Yeah, well there is still no excuse for the dang cut off hoodies!!! :coffee:

I struggle to understand how fans of the Patriots think they know better than the GOAT HC. Yes, above Lombardi. The operation of an NFL team is so complex and yet the man built two dynasties when the league wide goal is for every team to finish .500.

The reaction I get from my friends here in Detroit and others from around the country I interact with at work when I tell them of the beating Belichick gets on here from some is one of incredulousness.

As two great, old sayings go: " Ignorance begets arrogance," and " You can't fix stupid."

It was Bourne and he was clearly held, his jersey was pulled very clearly

Lions and Giants offenses look way better without Patricia or Judge…. just saying

Some stats to chew on so far in 2022. New England's offense is performing darn well under Patricia. They need to score more touchdowns in the red area, but between the 20s they've been a strong offensive team.

Passing yards per attempt
NE: 7.8
DET: 7.4
NYG: 5.9

Passing plays of 20+ yards
NE: 16
DET: 18
NYG: 4

Passing plays of 40+ yards
NE: 3
DET: 2
NYG: 1

Passing TDs
NE: 3
DET: 11
NYG: 3

Rushing yards per attempt
NE: 4.5
DET: 5.9
NYG: 5.8

Rushing TDs
NE: 5
DET: 7
NYG: 4

Rushing first downs
NE: 33
DET: 26
NYG: 43

Strength of schedule
NE: MIA, PIT, BAL, GB
DET: PHI, WSH, MIN, SEA
NYG: TEN, CAR, DAL, CHI

I wouldn’t call the chuck it deep Pats offense as successful. most ints in the league and lowest qb rating before Mac got hurt. so nope

Comical. "Before Mac got hurt". Neither is currently true.
