Boston Bruins hockey

Bruins win 5-3, got a little lazy after the 5th goal but got it together to secure the win.

It looked like they were going to get trucked after the first 10 min, Ullmark kept them in it, then they completely flipped the script.

As much crap as Sweeney gets for his drafting, his trades/FA signings have been quite good. Ullmark and Lindholm especially, and I really like that Zacha kid, he seems to be everywhere, strong on the puck, and makes the right plays.

Good start to JayShomps tough 7 game stretch. 17-2 is crazy. Best record, most goals, fewest allowed. Just fun. But lets not sleep on the Devils. The won their 13th straight last night, still hanging just a game back. And BTW, we face them twice on the road in late December. Go Bruins.

Cheers

Honestly I hope they don't go all in to try and win President's Trophy, for both superstitious and legit reasons. Being fresh and healthy is more important than home ice in the playoffs. Just knowing they can hang and even beat teams like the Lightning, Knights, and Avs of the world is enough for me. Still fun riding this wave though :)

Remember during the offseason when we didn't know if Bergy was retiring, or that Kreiji was coming back, and Mac and Marsh were out long-term? I think we were all just hoping they wouldn't be in too big of a hole when they got healthy to make the Playoffs.

This start is nothing short of miraculous.

They go to Tampa, take the early Lightning surge which Ullmark locks the door on and then punch Cup contenders in the face and steal their girlfriends on their ice. 17-2 is beyond belief considering all the off season questions. McAvoy, Marchand are back from surgery looking quite chipper thank you. Does Marchand even have a penalty this year? Early Lady Byng nominee lol! Still way early but damn!

He does, he got one in the first period against the Lightning.

Terrible officiating in last nights game costs the Bruins the game, Florida scores 3 PP goals and Bruins can’t stay out of the box. Time to break the most wins at home to start the season record against Carolina.

How sweet it is to beat Carolina. I hate that team with a passion. I hope ullmark is ok. he's been playing out of his mind. Going forward, they need to stop taking so many penalties. Does anyone else notice? How bad pasta is at entering the offensive zone on the power play?

Another big game tonight and a chance to extend the home winning streak against the TBL. Word is that Forbort will play tonight but no word on Linus yet, hopefully he will be in net tonight.

the bruins are up against the cap.

I saw that yesterday, glad to hear Forbort and Freddie are back in the lineup.

Just figure out a way to pay Pasta. This long into the season with no contract extension could mean testing free agency. I'm pretty sure a team or 2 would be interested.

I'll admit that's probably possible. :coffee:
