Random Thoughts

I'm not joking, but that's what my ring looks like after a very spicy chicken vindaloo from the local curry house. 😱

Don't think Tim was joking either.

It's a eco climate alarmist insanity thing.

Not that I have any interest in seeing your ring, but bless you brother. Those curry houses are some scary shit.

Heading over to India for a month to visit a dear friend and I'm scared to death about the quisine. 😂

Shared with the world just now as I head to bed.

If its not begun to be understood by now, it never will.

The reactions are phenomenal

"I would have been an incredible attorney, even greater than my grandfather who spent years as an honorable judge in Massachusetts after defending blacks against everyone in Mississippi.

Atticus Finch?

Yeah, same character, same soul.

Ask me about him sometime.

Incredible story.

F. Lee Bailey?

Pfft.

I chose something with a much greater impact.

This scene is one which speaks my character and soul.

Loved it from day 1.

With it all on the the line, especially his ass, Tom Cruise goes balls to the wall, no half measures and no turning back and sticks the landing with perfection like Keri Strug on one leg for the US Gold medal at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta.

I've said numerous times that no half measure ever brings anything awesome.

Full truth.

Anyone who paid attention to this cheered for all the right reasons.

We knew in that single moment what courage, determination and going all in the glory that lives in each individual soul.

And the world moves when an individual, a single human being takes a full measure, full responsibility and there is no turning back.

Pearl here, if I may?

Going blind because something or someone does not fit our view of the world is to often miss the greatest of things.

Sometimes, the Greatest Show On Earth."

Well, made it through the work day, settled back to watch some TV and the power went out. Been out since. Had to wear my headlight and go cook steak out in the storm on the grill.

Lol
On the upside, I bought a UPS and had my fiber router on it. There is enough battery in the UPS for 2 hours of internet without power. Thought that was kind of neat.
Make sure you rub one out before your two hours us up. The world can be a lonely, lonely place with no interwebz access.

:coffee:

Day 2 without power. Entire area is down. The cat is cold and angry at me. Had to boil water on the grill outside at 4am to make coffee.

Going to be throwing the contents of the fridge outside into the snow soon to preserve it.

Running a single light off of my Jackery 1000. Been debating if I want to go to my storage place and get the kerosene heater. But then I have to find a fuel station that not only carries it but has power.

I think my neighbors might be grouping into tribes as society breaks down. Worth keeping an eye on.

Ask them what you need to do to get immunity.

Tough situation.

Sorry.

In 86 when we moved up here from Mass to our mountain in Bridgewater the power lines were so brittle the power went out at a stiff breeze.

First winter here we had an ice storm that took the power down for 8 days. On top of that the steep private road to our house had 3 inches of ice covering it. Travel was impossible.

Wood stove was essential for heat and my mom cooked on it.

Without power there was no well water. Lotsa breaking up of the ice covered snow to melt for cooking and gallons to pour in the back of of the commode.

If ya want or need anything just ask. I'll get down there and get it to ya.

I'm always up for a great time. Let me know when the barbarians take to the streets and I'll be down 30 deep to fend them off.

:)

Tribe, Survivor show= immunity from being voted off UT's block.

Yeah, just thought of that.

Never enjoyed the show so I didn't get the connection right away.

I'm mean I'm not making a case nor pleading with anyone for immunity from anyone else. I am my own immunity. :)

My offer is real and stands for 30 gun arsenal having freedom loving rednecks from an hour and half north to come down in support and defense of the bossman, his property, his loved ones and Shudder even his cat.

:)

Thanks. My cat and I got this.

And I've got a full propane tank and rib roasts for weeks.

Biggest thing to think about now is heat and if I want to try to find some K-1. It's probably currently in the 50s inside, but another 15 degree outside overnight might make it a bit tougher.

Went through this in a different house in 2008 with the ice storm. Was without power for 11 days.

I lost power for days just before Christmas. Temp dropped from 66 on Friday to 12 on Christmas Eve. House got down to 40 degrees. Bit the bullet and spent 2 nights in a hotel. Power finally came back late on Christmas Eve but at least we were able to have Christmas morning in our own home. Had to toss all the food in the fridge and back-up freezer (that was loaded with meat.

Like a fool, I got rid of my generator because I spent all of my time moving it out of the way to get to other things. Searched all over creation trying to find one during the outage to no avail. You'd think I'd have sucked it up and purchased one since, right? Wrong.

I couldn't find any gas station that offers K1 Kerosene at the pump any more. Had to spend silly money for it at Home Depot.

Power still out. Neighbors are infighting, so maybe they will take themselves out.

Definitely puts a damper on exploring the Parasound.

Keep the kittah warm.

Shit there goes the mind on a tangent.

If it pleases, thank my beautiful friend for just walking in the door, heard me thinking out loud and said "Jesus man, don't". 😂

Best of people in my life. ♥

If you need anything man just let ne know.
