Bills safety Damar Hamlin collapsed on the field, was administered CPR

i mean, that CAN be a double edged sword, they could exhaust themselves with it. if the pats had a competent offense, i'd give them a shot. playoffs/play-in games tend to expose teams with giant disparities.
The problem with playing on emotion and adrenaline is that if things go awry it can backfire and spin out of control. Football is an emotional game, but the emotion has to be channelled by discipline.

A lot will depend on how Josh Allen is, mentally. This affected him pretty badly from what I could tell, watching and listening to him since it happened.

Believe me I know I see and think differently than most.

You're welcome. :)

The view from my stump:

I'm a Patriots lifer, I'll ride die and go down with them as my favorite sports team ever.

The last 20+ years have brought such incredible memories and times and I hope that continues.

A Patriots win, especially a big one on Sunday always has Monday lived with a great deal more sunshine and energy and a good feeling.

A bad loss and Monday is not even close to as good.

I've written several times, and some in depth about the meaning for not just us here in New England but the whole country of the 2001 season Superbowl victory of the New England Patriots, the biggest underdogs in Superbowl history against all odds, in the shadow of 9/11.

An extremely difficult and heartbreaking time in this country.

It was the inspiration of that against all odds victory which is what began to heal some deep wounds.

This is a different moment in time and this game did not have the worlds full attention but it clearly did here in the States, Monday Night Football is time honored tradition in many hones.

This horrible incident hit something deep in us.

The news of Damar waking up and asking "Did we win" and his doctor perfectly answering, "Yes, you won. You won the game of life". ♥ 🔥

This morning having his breathing tube removed and then addressing his team are incredible and inspiring moments full of deep meaning.

These are the most precious of life's moments which should not be taken for granted or easily forgotten.

This story had even those with no interest in football in rapt attention. For once they weren't anticipating a tragedy but full of hope for life.

I have deep and heartfelt story of someone very close who does not like football at all but saw this on the TV in a very difficult situation and this story has ignited a spark which has not been there for a long time.

I'm hoping for the Pats to reach deep and ball out and take it to the Buffalo Bills and for the Bills to go all clutch and pull off the win in a nailbiter as time expires.

This would serve both teams well and a rare moment of inspiration for those who became emotionally invested in Damars story, hoping for the gift of life, his and theirs.

This is inspiration what is.

A moment of joy and glory to refresh the soul and bring new energy to take even greater steps forward.

Here's to a great game.

Great news on Damar. It's the most important thing by far.
I have a feeling there will be a very fired up Bills team and home crowd. they will likely show a video message from Damar thanking the fans, etc. (which will very cool, don't get me wrong) but all of this has me thinking a tough game for Pats.
before all this happened we were hoping for the game not to have any meaning for Bills and they'd rest starters. Well.... it has a lot of meaning now and in more ways then just playoff seeding.
(I'll have to see what Jill's fans are saying on their message board about the neutral site thingy)

There is a good chance the Bills are going to smoke the Pats this week.

I am not even going to be mad.

I agree. We don't have any chance at the moment, but I don't think the Hamlin situation will give them wings on
their feet or crazed effort that wouldn't have been there anyway.

They'll come out of the gate fast and then it will settle down into another game where one of these things is not like the
other. I expected we'll be flat and have long stretches of offensive ineptitude, as has been the case.

They toyed with us in our first 2022 game. Cruise control all the way. This one won't be as close. They beat us casually.

If we had all of our Corners (and WRs) healthy and not suspended I might think differently, but we can't really take Diggs or anybody else
away at the moment and, if they get in trouble, Allen will just run people over. He does it every time and there isn't much anybody
can do to shut him down until his body starts breaking down more. They do a great job of spreading it around, have multiple guys that
can make plays and they use them intelligently.

I'll be mad when we lose, but I've accepted our fate. No unicorns or show ponies in 2022 and we'll rebuild what we can't do at the moment,
which is pass block, think, stop anybody on 3rd and long, call plays, execute plays, catch the ball, run routes, drag the toes inbounds,
get open, zone block, get the plays in on time, manage the clock, fool anybody, not run into the punter, punt, down the ball inside the 10, kick
extra points, kick FGs over 45 yards, kickoff into the end zone, stay out of 3rd and long, score in the red zone, protect a lead, stay healthy, and a
bunch of other things.

Somebody asked me the other day what I thought about the Pats Offensive execution and I responded that I supported the idea.

Excellent John McKay reference.

Has anyone actually seen him out of the hospital? Anyone spoken to him on TV? I have a feeling that he may NOT be as fine as they are letting on. You couldn't SEE him at the game, through the window, walking in he was all covered up, no interviews... really weird
