Random Thoughts

Bought the kerosene heater years ago after vowing never to be as unprepared as I was for the 2008 ice storm. First time using it is today though. It's wonderful. Up to a balmy 67 in the living room now.

The Parasound is great. My only complaint is it only has a trigger out and not a trigger in. So does the AVR. Would rather they power on and off together. Oh well.

And the kittie(s) are being kept warm. 😉

Gotcha.

;)

Had a couple of kerosene heaters growing up in Brockton in a beautiful 15 room farmhouse.

Kerosuns.

Not sure if it was the fumes that did me in or the porn I found in parents closet but I have fond memories of being kerosene warm having the hots for some older chick on 60 Minutes we watched every Sunday night.

Disney something or other was in play those Sunday nights as well as Wild Kingdom with Marlin Perkins.

God.

Calling my psychiatrist in the morning.

Recovered memories and all.

Good morning friends.

I'm awake, alive and breathing.

You're welcome or sorry for your misfortune, whichever works.

Spent some fun blow of steam time yesterday.

Won't bore you with the details....yet. 😂

Created 2 snowmen, 1 sexy snowwoman and 1 completely screwed up non binary robot loving pansexual thing so as not to offend sensibilities with my friends 2 grandkids yesterday.

Great day.

True story. 😂

Good morning. ☀

I trust that power is restored UT?

I was told it was supposed to be around 11 pm.

Don't ask, just weird connections all over the place.

Not even ruling out an angelic nature for some of them.

:)

Hey there. Yes. Been so busy since. I think it was about 10pm. The kerosene heater worked great for the living level. I got it up to 72 before bed.

Bedroom was cold though so I had a weighted blanket and two big comforters. Once I was nestled in it was plenty warm.

So much so that when the power restored, the furnace came on, that at about 2am I woke up sweating. 😂

I just purchased a portable induction plate that I can run off the Jackery. Should be useful for both power outages for boiling water and cooking, and also for the same for camping. Just nice to have another option besides the propane Coleman (that my wife won't freak out about using inside).

You can charge that Jackery via solar, correct? Is that an option or are solar panels included?

Glad things normalized

It's an option, but they sell kits where they are included too. But yes, it can be recharged with household 120v, car cigarette lighter 12v, or solar panels. That is in decreasing order of recharge speed.

I have two foldable solar panels for it. And when traveling, I just leave it plugged in to the car while driving. Have a nice little fridge that can run off it it for camping.

It's just weird Christian culturally accepted saying much like God Bless America, a bunny, colored eggs and candy on Easter or that Christ was born on Christmas. I do like the trees, candy and stuff though.

@BostonTim says it better but I can never remember how to spell it.

"Requiescat in pace is a Latin blessing with Roman Catholic ties that means “may he begin to rest in peace". This blessing is translated to ‘rest in peace’, a short saying or expression that wishes eternal rest and peace to an individual who has passed away."

On the subject of bunnies.

Gotta get me one of these.

Boy would that make the Egg Hunt epic. ♥

I've actually addressed this with @HSanders .

While my reasons may not be satisfactory to some they are not contradictory to my premises, therefore there is no hypocrisy.

Got a ton going as usual but would enjoy further discussion if ever there is interest.

Good question @deec77 .

My Android devices just updated to UI 5 the other day.

Reading the added features and improvements I'm very impressed.

Haven't had time to play around with it yet.

Love the addition of a Windows type taskbar.

Wonderful.

How far away is he from you?

Enjoy!!
He bought a home in Alabama, 40 miles south of Birmingham. Out here on a business trip. Dinner at a local eatery.
My offspring: Beach today.

You can see I taught him well....

Ahem.

About that Steeler indoctrination....

Seems some kind of psychological torture may be in play here.

:)

Awesome. Glad your enjoying time with him.

I know that area well. I spent 10 yrs as a young adult carousing up and down those highways.
How does he like living in the South?
