The 2023 AFC East

if l.j. is so great, why haven't the ravens signed him? i think the stat on starting qbs who get to their 5th year signing with their current team is about 0

I know the nfl has made a big push for running QBs but as a long term strategy a franchise has a much shorter shelf life with a running QB compared to with a pocket QB.

With the Ravens constructed for a running QB, might make sense to basically never overpay at the QB position and just reload now with a new young running QB. Save cap and bolster multiple other roster positions.

It's looking more and more like ARodgers is going to the Jets if he plays again. The Dolphins are another team with interest depending what they decide with Tua's 5th year option
in the next few months. Right now the AFC East, it seems, will have ARodgers as a QB if he decides to play.

Hearing Rodgers to the Jets is all but done. Going to be an interesting year.

(but SOJ so they'll find a way to screw it up)

jets will do well regular season, then Rodgers will gag in the playoffs. book it!

Crazy how this is playing out similar to the end of the Brett Favre-era in GB.

Difference being that the current Jets are more similar to the Vikings team Favre would end up after one season in NY. I am high on the Jets current roster, save for the QB position. While I don't think Aaron Rodgers wins them a title, I think the Jets will have a great regular season with him and likely have a negative impact on playoff seedings for all other AFC East teams (particular Buffalo) that will cost them a chance at a title, as well.

Not crying about potential Bills plight, but the arrival of Rodgers would obviously knock the Patriots down a peg on paper, so a lot of things have to break in the right direction for the Pats front office between free agency and the draft this year.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out financially for both teams.

If it happens

it's cute you think they'll make the playoffs.
that's the thing.... SOJ would make me think not, but they got some good players and if Breece Hall is back and stays healthy, and rodgers is the QB, I do expect them to make it.... then gag! ask our resident jets fan(s).... I'm sure that is their fear with Rodgers (or it should be)
