Looking at the Patriots 2023

NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS: OT, CB, WR

The Patriots’ offensive line was their biggest liability last season. While they signed veteran Riley Reiff, they need a lot more than that. They also re-signed Jonathan Jones, but that secondary needs more than one pick worth of new talent. They did sign tight end Mike Gesicki and JuJu Smith-Schuster, but they shouldn't be done adding offensive weapons.

Per PFF...and it's also kinda obvious too.

Imagine how good the 2022 defense might have really been had the offense shown even the slightest bit of competence?

An occasional breather would have been nice.

But no! Patricia couldn't get the right players on the field for the shitty plays he dumbed down for himself.

Not here so much, but in other places people are saying that an OT in the first should be off the board because of the FA signings....have they even looked at who we signed, or are they just seeing the position...

Ot first and foremost. Maybe first and second. Then outside CB. After that BB can have fun.

Yes, I have. Not only did the O pile up three and outs at an alarming rate, the kicking game was losing field position, particularly from
the worst punting we've seen in years. A team is most effective when all 3 phases work in conjunction and it's a tribute to how
good our D was that they kept us in games when they were still sucking wind and nothing else seemed to be helping.

We had the most pressure from the front 7 in quite a while, which was a big part of it, but I thought the D backfield seemed very
well-coached with very few mistakes considering the addition of Jack and Marcus getting a lot of quality snaps as rookies. I don't know what
PFF says, but my eyes told me that we kept plays in front of us, the coverage was tight and, in particular, the tackling was sharp.

I could also point to improvements, some major, from some of the other guys, like Uche, Judon, Wise, Bentley and Tavai. When you've got rookies who
stepped in like that and a lot of guys who had their best seasons without much help from the other 2 phases it's safe to say that those guys
were comfortable with their coaches even if we aren't sure who does exactly what.

Without DMac's experience on the back end it's hard to know what to expect, but whatever happens I expect that this year's D will have a lot more help
from the other 2 phases.

In my opinion, all three positions, plus safety, TE, coverage linebacker, edge, kicker, punter, and if there's a decent QB avaliable that falls...you get him too. Heck, throw in Center and Guard too. And a RB in the lower rounds, if a value is present. Not too many positions though... :coffee:

Man. Damien Harris to the Bills of all teams.

really sorry to see him go, he was a great lockerroom presence, very smart guy and a very good RB.

That's actually a really good signing for them.

I like Harris, but, he was always having some kind of issue with his health. That's the reason why BB never re-signed him.

For those curious, Josh McDaniels' family is finally moving to Vegas this week. They built a new house there.
His oldest son is staying behind with his grandmother so he can graduate in May.
He received a full scholarship for football but Josh told the school he didn't need the scholarship & to give it to a player who needed it.
