Today is the final day of the 2023 NFL draft. It will be a long day as they have 4 full rounds plus comp picks added to each round,
In the 4th round the Patriots have picks 107,117,120, and 135. I'm sure that BB will have some treats for us by the end of that round.
They don't have a pick in the 5th round but with 4 other picks in the the 6th and 7th, they could trade up to the 5th.

I was going to put together a list of players that are still available that I would like to see the Patriots take. But if I did that, BB would not take any of them just to spite me.
Last night after they announced the Marte Mapu pick, I shut the TV off and went to sleep, because I was pissed. However, after doing some research this morning, I fine with the player.
There are still some decent OT,WR, and TE options left to improve the offense.

What, you never had him in any of your mocks?

Now it's time to get some Offensive players that can help. I wouldn't be too worried about the fact that we haven't done so yet, but I want a Tackle, a Center, a TE and at least one fast WR.

The Mapu pick was mystifying and I have no coherent idea why Bill felt the need to invest in another hybrid LB/S when we already have a number of them. Maybe the plan is to use him in a Mac Wilson role. Beats me, but as long as we can add some intriguing guys today then I'm good with Mapu.

I'll mention that I was damn glad that DJ called him his favorite player in this Draft, because I had only the slimmest idea who he was.

Everyone had Mapu as a 3rd...just like everyone had Strange as a 1st last year. :coffee:

At least you had a slim idea. I had never heard of the guy.

To me Freeland looked poorly at the Senior Bowl practice
