Didn't feel like making a new thread.

Here goes.

You didn't go with RC this time?

The wife and I just booked an RC cruise for December. We're going with the kids this time. They should have a good time with the nightlife. The wife turns 50 this summer and that's what she wants (one more big vacation with all four of us). We'll be doing the western Caribbean out of Miami.

Thanks.

Yes, the Navigator (Voyager-class ship). The pics of the Carnival ship was just to show the size comparison when she was parked next to us. The last picture of the Princess ship is 'cause that's the Island Princess, which is the ship we sailed on in Alaska in 9/06. (There were about 8 ships in Fort Liquordale's port when we got back.)

From availability, looks like that's either gonna be Navigator (big) or Liberty (bigger). You've already been on the Freedom class IIRC, so Liberty would be familiar; don't know if you've been on the Voyager class, but between my Med pics and these pics here you can see that she's decent-sized as well, with plenty of nooks and crannies to hide in. Wait until you get a look at the Oasis-class ships. Holy freakin' crap. They're so big that, instead of a shopping Promenade, the middle is exposed to the open air and has a "Boardwalk" (stores, I assume) along with a "Central Park". On top of each side of the ship is room for two seperate pools. There's a freakin' zipline you can ride. There are two flowriders in the stern instead of one, with room in between for a bar. The Solarium has it's own restaurant, as does the Spa. Huge ain't the word.

OK. The Carnival pics threw me off.

Yup. It's Liberty. And yes, we've been on Freedom. The wife has been on Brilliance which I think is a Voyager class. I've seen the pics of Oasis and it's hard to believe that anything could be bigger than Freedom. We inquired about Oasis but the prices are starting out very high.

What's the commotion in those middle pics? Looks like a fight or something!

When and where? We are leaving Miami May 4 going to Cozumel again this year. Going to the caverns this time around. Oh and gotta party at Senor Frogs again. ROFL

The Navigator's a great ship, nice choice. Hope you had fun. How did you like the promenade-view stateroom? I had one on the Adventure and was stunned by the amount of people watching I did.

The Freedom-class ships, despite there size, are laid out very much like the Voyager-class ships. The major difference is in the outdoor portion toward the aft of the ships. The Oasis is just going to be too ridiculous to even speculate. I've seen a lot of the virtual tours and it's jaw-dropping stuff.

The Brilliance is actually a Radiance-class ship. They were built mostly with Alaska cruising in mind so they feature lots of glass and have tons of incredible panoramic views. They're not of the size of the Voyager-class but they are very elegant, very state-of-the-art ships.

Another Radiance-class ship, the Jewel of the Seas, comes to Boston every year for a Bermuda sailing and a handful of Canada/New England sailings.

The pics near the end of the bunch, you mean? That's The Quest, an 'adult' game show they do one night. It's a scavenger hunt, but with stuff like the host saying, "Show me three women's bras" or "Show me a piercing". They got even more risque with the spring breakers on board (as can be seen in the pics I put in the Girlie Pic thread).
