No harm, no foul. From your contributions I suspect you hadn't paid much attention to Country & Folk genres. Alison Krause & Union Station started as a Bluegrass band, but her voice and songwriting took them to the top in Nashville. She's been a major influence there for two decades, writing, producing, etc.; she's now a crossover to rock as the Robert Plant mention indicates.
I rarely listen to radio, I think I "found" her in the 90's or when CMT went on the air and someone was playing that channel. Love her voice, she tends to write songs with a bit of a dark edge which speaks to me.
Union Station and individual members have done separate albums; Dan Tyminski (sp?) was the man who performed the feature song for the movie O Brother Where Art Thou? which what's his pretty face lip synced to behind the whiskers.
