FWIW, the accountant in me forced me to do a little digging awhile back. I paused the game at the precise moment each round began and calculated the maximum score for each round (if the break forced all the balls to go into the pockets on that one shot). The maximum score if the player hits every ball in with the breaking ball is 6130. (I tried to show you the Excel table, but visitor messages are limited to 1,000 characters and the table made the post exceed the limit.)

I racked up a 4900+ score in one of the tourneys recently, but still haven't gotten over 5,000 other than the one time. And I've never been able to duplicate the "pause then come back" glitch you and others have had.
