Apparently the Vikes understand this too. They just traded for #23 and everyone anticipates they will try to package #11, #23 and then some to move to the top-5 for a QB.
A stud WR is useless without a top-10 QB. Minnesota has WR Justin Jefferson but lost QB Kirk Cousins to free agency. Does QB Sam Darnold throwing to WR Justin Jefferson concern any Vikes' opponent?
I'm eager to see OT Ladarius Henderson, Michigan (Senior Bowl, National Team) and OL Trevor Keegan, Michigan. Probably late day 2 or day 3 guys. Michigan had an excellent O-line (again). And TE AJ Barner Michigan and WR Roman Wilson, Michigan.
Absolutely go BPA (offensive player), but unless Jayden Daniels goes #1 or #2 MHJ won't be the BPA. Then you kill 2 birds with 1 stone. You get BPA who is also your biggest need. Plus, to be honest, I prefer Malik Nabers. Nabers had 22 more catches for 348 more yards this year than MHJ.
Hopefully CB Mike Sainristil (Michigan) is available on day 3. He's a little shorter than I would like. But he's a baller with experience at several positions. I say day 3 because Day 1 & 2 needs to be offense.
WR Malik Nabers Declares for the 2024 Draft
Jayden Daniels in the 1st & Malik Nabers in the 2nd is my pipe dream. But Nabers won't get past #15 unless he busts a drug test of completely tanks all interviews.
The hit piece on BB's most likely successor from a "team source" last week. And a story yesterday blaming BB for "holding O'Brien back". One story making excuses for O'Brien. The other story trying to denegrate O'Brien's main competition for a promotion to HC of the NEP. O'Brien's camp seems...
So Kraft meddled enough to make BB hire Bill O'Brien. But sat on his hands while BB hamstrung O'Brien? The story sounds like a steaming pile of BS to me. Kraft would have fired BB in the spring if he truly showed that much contempt for Kraft's authority.
The story sounds more like CYA by...
Yeah, that's my guess too. Hopefully Mayo succeeds BB and the D doesn't fall off too much. But to be honest, I don't want to see BB go. Between Mac's incompetence and all the injuries and coaching turnover, I think BB has some valid excuses.
