The 2021 Draft- We Need This One

I really, really hope Fields falls to us and Bill goes up and gets him. Every time I watch him, I get goose pimples. Guy has all the tools.

I think it's all smoke and mirrors and the Niners will get Fields. No way he falls out of top 10. If that's the case, BB needs to pull the trigger, though.

I do not expect the Patriot's to keep all the Picks they have this year

Round 1, Pick 15 (15)
- DeVonta Smith, WR, Alabama

Round 2, Pick 14 (46) - Spencer Brown, OT, Northern Iowa

Round 3, Pick 33 (96) - Kyle Trask, QB, Florida

Round 4, Pick 15 (120) - Hamsah Nasirildeen, S, Florida State

Round 4, Pick 17 (122) - Daelin Hayes, DE/OLB, Notre Dame

Round 4, Pick 34 (139) -Traded for something next Draft

Round 5, Pick 33 (177) - Traded for something next Draft

Round 6, Pick 4 (188) - Warren Jackson, WR, Colorado State

Round 6, Pick 13 (197) - Traded for something next Draft

Round 7, Pick 15 (242) - Alaric Jackson, OT, Iowa

I wouldn't put too much stock into it, because the source tends to spin their material to appease the SJW crowd, but I saw a report this morning that Fields is "dropping" due to teams being concerned that he isn't particularly football smart and that judgement is due to, you guessed it, racism. We shall see if that is the last of that storyline. If he does drop significantly I'm going to guess somebody will try to squeeze some juice out of it.

Being a ND fan. I don't see him translating to be a NFL QB. I see same issues with fields a run first QB. That had accuracy issues in big games.
I'm not really a ND fan despite the fact that my brother LOVES them. In any case, I have to admit that if this were an ordinary year I wouldn't be shocked if Bill took a flyer on Book. He's obviously not a great passer, but the guy can really run and had an outstanding W-L record. He strikes me as a solid leader and a fine, young Domer. He's probably going to be a flyer for somebody else.

I saw a scouting report recently that stated Book isn't very athletic. He sure looked fast to me.

Certainly, we have a more prominent need for a true slot now that Jules has left the building. I'm not sure how Jakoby Meyers really fits the Edelman role even though he can play out of the slot. It makes sense that we'll look for somebody that has that start/stop elite quickness to try and fill those big shoes. I'd been thinking we have room for only one rookie field-stretcher, but now it looks like we need to rethink that and find the next elite slot guy.

It does appear to be a draft with a fair number slot-type guys, so I'm going to add Cade Johnson -- who is supposed to be a day 3 pick-- to the list.

Here are Johnson's one on ones from the Senior Bowl. Not lightning like Jules, but he can shake, bake and catch.

South Dakota jack rabbit...

that's a good article minus the bucky brooks stuff. there's certainly other qbs who have had their work ethic etc. questioned. the pats even drafted one...mallet. and manziel's was too iirc.
