Week 15 gamete thread @ Indy Saturday December 18, 8:20 p.m.

i am SOOOOOOOOOOOO glad that when they scored or made some decent plays, they didn't run around acting like fools. (even though i was pissed at my fave defensive player dugger for getting himself tossed)i ABSOLUTELY DESPISE showboating when losing. like their little first down is award winning when losing by 30.

So all the folks here disappeared at the stroke of midnight like Cinderellas fairy godmothers magic.

No worry I'm up for the duration much to maybe the shagrin of the powers that be.😅😝😛

I’m here my man!!

Got a nice buzz. Colts won and Oilers beat the kraken!!! Great night.

View attachment 8449@johnlocke going back through old Facebook photos. Check this one out from 15 years ago. My god I miss those days. 30 pounds skinnier and maybe could have tried out for the Canadian juniors goalie hahahahah
That isnt Saskatchewan...this much I know. Either Alberta or BC. Maybe around Banff?

so sad...☹

Before they spoke to the media, both David Andrews and Bill Belichick offered their thoughts and condolences to Colts center Ryan Kelly. Kelly and his wife reportedly lost their unborn child, which was the reason for Kelly’s absence on Saturday.

Last night showed why Mac Jones arm strength is subpar. He does need to have more power in his mid to longer throws. The Harry reception was great, but, he put his all into that one. He can improve on it I believe though. He definitely looked like a rookie last night.

Colts' D came to play w/ flying-to-the-ball-hair-on-fire energy Pats' O could not overcome

take away the NE Special Team and O miscues and game eerily looked like a mirror-image of Pats-Bills last week

I still back Mac and the upside that is right in front of him for the taking

I'm not putting that loss on our rookie QB and I doubt BB will either. That's not to say Mac didn't have a brain fart or 2 but it is to say that man for man we didn't match the fire the Colts had to start the game. Our trench players were a step or two slow both mentally and physically for the entire 1st half. Colts' defenders took turns shooting into our backfield as our OL was still wiping the sleep from their eyes after the bye. Give the Colts and Reich credit - they took full advantage when we handed over 7 big pts on the blocked kick. Embarrassing.

Ball security was another big issue. Dumb drive killing penalties bit us in the ass again. We knew protecting Mac would be a key to this game and we knew we'd have to be able to run the ball effectively to slow down the Colts aggressive pass rush. We did neither as we watched the Colts take a big lead. I see no need to bash individual players here since they all played subpar but I will say that Trent Brown was particularly disappointing to me. Too often he was watching the game as running plays ended when he should have been pancaking someone 5 yds downfield. Worst game I've seen him play as a Patriot.

If I'm looking for a silver lining it's that BB has plenty of coaching points from this showing. That may pay off in the long run when we face the Bills again and if we play the Colts again because we know the Bills and Colts will come out blazing & especially aggressive the next time around. Back to fundamentals. Back to playing smart. Clean up the false starts and start the next games like you're determined to finish the season with wins. Clean it all up quick because in a week the Bills want to deliver the knockout blow.

Very disappointing. I couldn't stay up for it here, it was 1:15am kick off and this damn Covid has me drained.

Watching the highlights now on Gamepass and it was one of those games where we just did not turn up for the bulk of the game. We can't give a by excuse as the Colts were coming off it as well. They were just hungrier and we made some god awful, calamitous errors. All 3 phases were pretty shit.

Bill will enjoy having a reason to really thrash the players and get them riled up for the Bills but at the same time, he has been majorly pissed off and angry and what happened. And maybe a tad worried. His teams do not typically make these errors.

Time for player accountability. Slater, Dev, Andrews, High. they need to get a hold of this PDQ.

Was watching game with my son who had just gotten home from college, so I wasn't on the game thread last night...
unbelievable collection of mistakes, gaffes and miscues that we don't expect after the first month of the season.
Colts were on fire and this was like a "playoff" game to them, and a chance on a national stage to show they belong.

I'm sure each and every screwup was covered in the 39 prev pages of this thread so I won't rehash.

I do think that while Mac looked like a rookie at times, he did some good things there and can win a game throwing... if the team doesn't screw things up left, right and center in every phase of the game (that includes Mac's bad ints)
