i heard him interviewed before the draft and his attitude reminded me of Rodney's. i liked him.

Rodney, eh? I like it.

I've only heard a brief clip of him speaking and that was post-draft, but the kid has me intrigued.

I figured he was disappointed that we drafted him, for whatever reason, based on his complete non-reaction, but
he says he's just a laid-back guy. That's just how he rolls. I heard something about how he actually cried tears of
joy once the cameras weren't rolling, but his general persona reminds me of a football version of a mafia hit-man.

He doesn't want to talk much and is allllll business.

Rodney was known as the Hit Man, too, so maybe you're on to something.

I don't know if the dude can play at this level yet, but it's nice to see a young guy who looks like something is
driving him to make it without all the posing and attitude. Now I want to know more about his back story off the
field.

So you're suggesting he's got Rodney's attitude and Brady's incremental work ethic, but in Willie McGinest's body, and he's only played the position for a few years.

Sign me up.

i kind of like that there aren't a ton of stories about him. here's one i thought shed some light on him personally. add intelligent to the mix.

from what I’ve been reading, things are already looking volumes better on offense compared to last year. That is good news!

BB SAID, "IT'S GOING TO BE GOOD"??? SIGN OF THE APOCALYPSE OR NO??? 😄

Don't know what it means for BB to go so far out of character but I think I like it.
I mean, it's better than "there's a long way to go so we'll see", isn't it?

Right. But that classic BB line isn't quite as good as the one from yesterday, which is likely
to be remembered for a while.

"Yeah, all the rookies, they've all been good," Belichick said Tuesday when asked specifically about receiver Kayshon Boutte. "They've got a lot to learn, they're trying. Drinking through a fire hose, but that's what it is for rookies coming into the NFL."

Pat Kirwan and Jim Miller of Sirius XM NFL gave the Pats' TE room a grade of 18 - highest in the league this year. Not bad!

Fuck. Me. Really?

Kirwan is one of the savviest and least "look at meeeee" guys in broadcasting. If that dude, and Jim Miller,
who isn't exactly a scrub, think we're in good shape then that is good news.

The Patriots are quietly and stealthily building some steady buzz and are a decent bet to unleash pure
hell on the rest of the football world.

It's too early to know for sure, but the elements of this season have a real, viable, non-homer chance to be one of t
he funnest experiences of the entire Belichick era and I cannot wait.

I enjoy the development of young players, or late bloomers, more than steady, reliable play of veterans. This team is fascinating to me.

I'm trying very, very hard to reel it in and not go overboard until we have some actual competition to calibrate our instruments,
but......this offseason has really checked just about every box I hoped for.

I'm sure I'll get fired-up at some point, but right now is not the time to go icky-balookey over somebody that supposedly looks
good before the pads even come out of winter storage. I'll probably wait for late August to let my fanboy flag fly free.

OTA season is for rubes.

Fascinating is a good word for this team, though, and completely appropriate for this point of the calendar.
