    Looking At The Patriots 2022

No doubt. But still, Stallworth and Gaffney were legitimate starters consistently for several years before becoming the Patriots #3 and #4.

    Looking At The Patriots 2022

Well, there was that Moss/Welker/Stallworth/Gaffney/Brown crew. They were pretty, pretty good.

(Preseason) Game Thread - Game 1 Pats v. Giants

Okay, more thoughts: #74 Ray didn't show up on the stat sheet, but he was moving people and seemed to be in the right position. #96(?) Sam Roberts has a knack for penetration against both run and pass, but needs to wrap up/finish. Interesting player. Seems sort of RookieBruschi-ish to me, but...

(Preseason) Game Thread - Game 1 Pats v. Giants

Why would Hines not play? He's been back practicing afaik, why would he not get reps? Also, interesting that Marcus Jones didn't play. He's back to full contact, so does that mean we should consider him a key starter already?

Hokay, so... I am le tired, so I'm going to deal with any thoughts tomorrow.

(Preseason) Game Thread - Game 1 Pats v. Giants

I'm delayed near end of 2nd, but so far (off the top of my head) Wilson, Wade, Jennings, and Thornton look good. Ekule looks like he could be good if he could master some fundamentals. Herron and everyone on D who is just refusing to wrap up look bad. JJ Taylor and Wilkerson are getting every...

    James White Announces his Retirement

Though not quite as good as his namesake, Rudy "Sweet Feet" Huxtable, James White was a great watch - absolute precision - and to all appearances was an absolute class act. I'd have loved to have him back this year if he was ready, willing, and able.

Does anyone still listen to records?

The difference really shows up on certain albums. I don't think it was more obvious on any album than Paul Simon's Graceland, where the lingering booming drums were night and day different. Dark Side was definitely different as well.

We are going to be cutting some quality safeties and WRs this year. Some other good players, too, but multiple NFL-quality safeties and WRs.

    Anybody Know Any Good Jokes?

Holy crap. Judging by the text, the intent here was actually totally innocent. Which is just...amazing. It kinda makes me feel badly that my mind is so twisted.

You think so? That'd be great, if Bill recognized that the offense needs to be able to put up points for a change. You state this as a fact, and it's total nonsense. They do. All but (maybe) the most junior coaches.

    Mac Jones Is Our QB1

The receivers have to beat their man in either case. The scheme is (part of) the how, not the if.

    Mac Jones Is Our QB1

Has anyone seen anything about the passing attack shifting to the WCO base like Shanahan/McVeigh? Apart from adding the bootlegs/rollouts that Brady wasn't equipped to pull off, and having those look like the wide zone runs? Even the inside runs - are those shifting from gap to inside zone?

2022 Rookie Camp, OTAs, Mini Camp, Mandatory Mini Camp And Training Camp

If the offense was looking amazing, absorbing all the changes quickly and lighting it up, what would the stories be about? They'd be about how much the defense sucks. I mean, is there even any doubt about that? Of course that's what the story would be. Leading up to the season there were two...

    Mac Jones Is Our QB1

I do indeed. And the purpose of those slight adjustments (and entire read-routes) was to manufacture separation. Because it is required for the offense to function.

    Mac Jones Is Our QB1

I'm just wondering why no one has thought to implement the genius offensive system where it doesn't matter whether your WRs can get separation. You'd think that would be way more popular, you know?
