    The 2024 Draft

Polian explained, “The most difficult thing you have to judge with a quarterback is a) his ability to recognize defenses, b) his ability to process it quickly, c) his ability to know where to go with the football and d) the ability to do it accurately under pressure. “Notice, nowhere in there...

Kraft torpedoed Bill for the Falcons job

Kraft has billions and billions of $$$ and only one ego. Apparently being the good guy, or at least coming out on top in the matter of public opinion, is pretty important to him.

An attempted joke. You said you're going to be the NE Patriots HC. You now have to backtrack on any comment you made in posts about spending money, etc.

    The 2024 Draft

All made up shit. Like reporters and media personalities and ex-players actually know who's first on teams' draft boards. Even if they did have a contact who blabbed who's to say he wasn't blowing smoke? This must be a rough time for guys in the media. Some make us stuff and start rumors to get...

I don't doubt he's a good leader. I just think there is more to being a good HC than being a good leader. Mahatma Gandhi, Moses, and Martin Luther King Jr were great leaders, but I'm not sure about them being HC material...well, maybe Moses. He could open up great passing lanes.

Pretty much sums it up for me, except that if we think Robert Kraft is a cheap-ass weasel, just wait until Jonathan takes the reins.

    The 2024 Draft

Following up on Chev's report on Drake Maye So much of the New England Patriots’ 2024 draft (and really their entire 2024 season) comes down to which quarterback they (presumably) take with the third overall pick. That choice will likely come down to whoever is still an option once they’re on...

IIRC he beat the Pats his rookie year. But yeah, he wasn't worthy of the #2 pick.

It certainly was. Same debate. Bledsoe was the strong-armed guy in 1993, Leaf was the strong-armed guy in 98 https://archive.seattletimes.com/archive/?date=19930418&slug=1696550

It was actually Rick Mirer, but you're absolutely correct. There was a huge debate at the time back when there was little internet presence or even a decent web browser (anyone remember Mosaic from CERN?). Bledsoe was a younger Elway, and Mirer the next Staubach. Patriots made the right choice...

???? You're not really saying you stood a better chance getting a good QB in 2021 by drafting QBs in rounds 2-7 were better than your chances of hitting in round 1 are you????

Who is the Worst Owner in New England Sports?

I was psyched for this FA period. We had cap space up the wazoo, a GM that promised to weaponize the offense, and a head coach that wanted to burn some cash. All we needed was to pick up a quality FA OT and WR. That should have been easy because there is no way we could be outbid with our cap...
