    The 2024 Draft

If 36 percent is the average hit rate the Patriots are significantly below that over the last ten years. Hopefully that trend turns around tonight.

    The 2024 Draft

For me it’s Maye or trade down. QBs who are Jayden Daniels size just do not last in the NFL. Drafting him would be a huge mistake. It might make for a fun September, but he’s gonna be injured by the time it starts getting cold.

    The 2024 Draft

I’d be happy with Maye or McCarthy at the top. Penix has lot of bad injuries. He does not finish seasons. It doesn’t look like a fluke, the guy gets hurt. Otherwise yeah on paper I’d be happy with a trade down and Penix plus a good tackle or WR. But he can hardly finish a season on the college...

    The 2024 Draft

I wasn’t sure at first, but the more I read about Mcarthy and watch his film the more I’m sure I’d rather have him than Daniels. I really hope the Pats come out of this draft with either Maye or Mcarthy. The last thing we need is a slight framed running QB who’s had two outstanding WRs and...

    Looking at the Patriots 2024

If Brock Purdy gets knocked out for the season next December, why not? Something tells me Brady could still get the ball to Debo, Kittle and company.

    The 2024 Draft

I meant it in the sense that if a team drafts Daniels he’s going to have moments where he looks incredible. Any GM can point to those and say well I was right. At the same time he’s never never going to go the distance. To succeed in the playoffs you’ve got to be able to be a pocket...

    The 2024 Draft

Ive got no desire to be waiting for Daniel’s to tweak an ankle or elbow every October after flashing 6 electric games in September. I read some quote from an nfl exec saying Maye is the QB who will get you fired. The guy is right. Maye will require good coaching and could bomb...

This. I’d much rather extend this defense than bring in a guy like Ridley.

    Looking at the Patriots 2024

Any team with a top ten draft selection should be rushing to start offseason workouts.

    The '24 AFC East

Spoken like a true pats fan who’s been watching WRs bust for decades. lol I’m just kidding. Kind of. I think Diggs getting shut down by KC started opening their eyes. He was really hurting their locker room, and they are in cap hell.

The Patriots' 2024 Off Season Thread

I’ve never been a Calvin Ridley fan. I’m fine with not paying him 23 million a year when there are a ton of defensive guys who will need new contracts sooner than later. The titans are paying him and Hopkins almost 40 million combined this year. Crazy. And I liked Hopkins for a year or...

    Random Football News - 2024

Diggs had lost a step, was disrupting the locker room, and his production can be replaced for much less money if they hit on 2 mid round picks in a draft flush with receiving talent. I was hoping they’d try to make it work and stay in cap hell for a few years while he approaches his wall...

The WRs of the 2024 Draft

Great thread, and great intro. It sucks the Pats have so many needs, but at least the biggest positional needs of the team line up with the positional strengths of this draft class. Im looking forward to this thead.

    The 2024 Draft

It was always obvious what Mac was. It’s just as obvious what Maye is. All you gave to do is listen to them do a 5 minute interview. You don’t even have to watch the film. I called Mac from the beginning.

    The 2024 Draft

That’s fine by me. QBs like Allen, Herbert, Burrow, Mahomes, Rodgers, hell I’ll throw in Stroud. He looks incredible. If Stafford is healthy I’ll put him in that group. These guys can throw, don’t rely on their legs, and will have their teams in the mix every year. I think Maye is gonna be in...

    The 2024 Draft

If it takes a trade up to ensure Maye is a Patriot then I’m all for it. Good QBs are worth it, and if he’s got a chance to be a better version of Josh Allen then he’s worth a lot. Having a QB like that means you’re in the mix every year even with a bad team. That said I’d certainly...

    The 2024 Draft

View: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=IuqqKAdVQU8 This is Justin Fields pro day. He just got traded for at best a 4th round pick. I don’t know if that link will work, but watch some of Fields pro day and go back what the “experts” were saying about him, and just compare that to...

    The 2024 Draft

I completely disagree with that take from Riddick. He looks alright on deep balls, but he does not look exceptional on precision stuff. The big thing though is that you can’t trust him. He’s had the best support system of any QB in years. Great line, and outstanding WRs. Plus he’s...

    The Dynasty

You don’t put any blame for that line on the fact that the Pats haven’t drafted a guy in the first round worth a second contract since Hightower in 2012? I like Barnmore and hopefully Gonzo can stay healthy, but a decade of awful drafting has a lot to do with that line. Certainly more than...

    The 2024 Draft

As long as Daniels isn’t a Patriot. Drafting him will set the franchise back 3 years. I’m no fan of fields but if your gonna go the rout of the slight framed running QB it’d have been better to send a 4th for Fields. At least he’s used to having no talent around him.
