JDNumbahz and LW's trip to Hawaii

Closer shot of Waikiki Beach and Honolulu to the north.

Unfortunately there was a lighting difference between the shots, but this panorama gives you an idea of the crater's size.

Different shot to the east coast (right side of the crater).

Heading back, a shot of the pillbox window we had to climb through.

From inside the pillbox. Imagine having to sit in this thing all day, just waiting--and dreading--the sight of a Japanese battleship or something. Eesh!

At least down was a little easier than up....

Saturday morning, on board... Honolulu from the balcony.

On the plus side, we were close to the lifeboats. On the minus side, I don't know if jumping off the balcony would've been a good idea to get to it... also, the whole first day, they had problems getting this one back in it's cradle. Not a good sign, LOL.

The balcony, from inside the room. It was big enough for two people to sit on. Good enough.

Honolulu with Pearl Harbor in the background.

The other side of Honolulu, with Waikiki and Diamond Head in the background.

Long shot of Diamond Head.

Two old ladies who probably thought I was a perv, when I was only trying to get a shot of the smokestack and sign.

And this isn't even one of the biggest ships out there... She's over 900 feet, but there are bigger behemoths.

Pool deck at sunset. Or sunrise. Can't remember.

Baby one-man pilot boat, tugboat, big boat.
