Police in Jupiter, Florida announced on Friday that they have charged Patriots owner Robert Kraft with two counts of soliciting prostitution.

Kraft is accused of visiting a massage parlor to solicit sex and the police department said they have video evidence to back up the charge. A spokesperson for Kraft responded to the charges with a statement denying that Kraft did anything illegal later on Friday.

“We categorically deny that Mr. Kraft engaged in any illegal activity. Because it is a judicial matter, we will not be commenting further.”

Kraft and all other NFL owners are subject to league discipline under the Personal Conduct Policy. With much more to play out in this story, it remains to be seen if that will be on the table or not.

The video that shows a money exchange with intent is all important.

Without the video the NFL is speechless. It's not sexual harassment like Jerry Richardson or overt pandering like Jerrah. Consensual adults means something in my mind.

:toast:

As this news just broke, I will be interested how all this pans out in the end as sometimes facts initially are not the facts in the end.

For me, i will be interested to see if Kraft knew about the human trafficking at this venue.

I mean really, who cares??

Consensual sex. And the oldest vocation in the world.

I actually admire him even more now. As Michael Irvin says, he is the OG!

I'm going to wait for more facts to come out. It has been mentioned that this is part of a human trafficking sting.

If it was just consensual adults, then "Rock On" Bobby! :toast:

However, if the women employed here were caught in a human trafficking organization and forced to perform against their will, that's another matter. Robert probably did not know if they were, but buying human slaves, or their services, is a serious matter.

For reference, Isray's 2014 misdemeanor charge of driving while intoxicated, he was "suspended" for 6 games (How do you suspend an owner? He has to watch on TV?), and a $500,000 fine.

How the fuck would he know about the trafficking? Do people think the guy who brought the women there is there with Kraft saying "look at dees one I got you from Bulgaria Robert. you like you like?"

Uh ohhh... Liam Neeson is the girl's father...

I think RKK comes out of this OK (heh) if video shows he left his hat on :D

and of course a story on MSN about it and at the end they have to throw in...

In 2007, the Patriots were caught filming signals from New York Jets coaches; New England was suspected of doing so against other teams, as well, and that was confirmed later on. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell fined the Patriots $250,000 and stripped them of their 2008 first-round draft pick. Belichick was fined $500,000, the most an NFL coach ever was fined.

In the 2014 AFC championship game, the team -- specifically, star quarterback Tom Brady -- was accused by the Indianapolis Colts of doctoring footballs.

The NFL concluded that Patriots employees were involved in deflating the footballs and Brady was "at least generally aware" it was being done. After lengthy legal battles, Brady served a four-game suspension at the beginning of the 2016 season and the Patriots were fined $1 million -- the heftiest for a team in league history. New England was stripped of a first-round and a fourth-round draft choice.

Legally, makes no difference. Just like it makes no difference if you buy stolen property, or you download pornography with minors.

Of course, if you're a billionaire, that makes a difference.

The list of Johns, in case anyone is interested...
