I know that the opening ceremony is not until this Friday.
But today on USA Network the games start with Rugby and sucky soccer.
Events that I'm interested in watching some are:
Golf
Basketball
Women's Beach Volleyball :cool1:
Most of the track and field events
Rugby
Some swimming events
Water polo
Those are some events off the top of my head.

Ditto the one with sunglasses.

I can't post the video from my work computer, but did everyone see the last play in the U.S. vs Australia women's 7 - 7 rugby?

That women might be our best option if Rhamondre gets hurt again.

Got back from golf and watching women's volleyball USA vs Serbia. Both teams are very good. US went up 2-0 in games, now Serbia is about to tie the natch 2-2.
This is not the beach volleyball which I watch for different reasons.

Oh wow, I turned that off after the US was up 2-0 as it seemed a foregone conclusion.

US women's beach volleyball match vs. France earlier was a good one. France looked good but US scored a few points on some incredibly smart plays. Great match.

That's how the China match went, but in reverse. China went up 2-0, US tied it at 2, and they lost in OT, but I guess it's like hockey, so they got a point for showing up. That's how that works, right?

my Italian teacher said Italy got silver in gymnastics. she sounded surprised (in a good way).

A French pole vaulter was disqualified because he hit the pole with his "pole", aka "package", and knocked the pole over.
Can't make this up.

EDIT: I was trying to be too cute. Simply said, he was disqualified when he knocked over the bar with his pecker.
