2025 Draft

Virtually no small school prospects drafted by the Pats.

You can quibble about picks after pick 200 or so.

There were really only a handful of small school kids taken in the entire draft, across every team.

I think you're going to see this less and less as the open portal allows the typical small school draftees get hooked onto a large school before they graduate.

Cam Ward from Incarnate Word would have been one of those kids 10 years ago, for example.

Agreed.
Noticed that Oregon obtained an offensive tackle from Nevada the other day.

. Both of Oregon's starting tackles went in this draft.

Bills Grade: A
They drafted 50 D-Tackles and Elam 2.0.

Gotta flunk this one.

Time will tell, but I think you could be right.

As Chevs pointed out somewhere, picks that come after the fourth round seldom are worthy of attention. So basically all the Bills did was make sure they could stop the run in an era where the league has skewed to passing offenses.

Perhaps they think Barkley's performance last year is a harbinger of a renaissance in the running game.

Baltimore picked a kicker in the 6th round, right after the Patriots picked their new PK.

To me, that's a signal that the Ravens know that Justin Tucker isn't going to be able to play this year.

Tucker had a really bad year in 2024 - I wonder how much his legal difficulties impacted his on the field play.
