2025 Draft

I just read an article saying that a Colorado Buffaloes fan has filed an anonymous $100 million lawsuit against the NFL for "emotional distress" he felt due to Shedeur Sanders falling to round 5 in the draft.

I weep for this country's future.

Sounds akin to all the Canadiens fans who called "Canadian 9-1-1" after Zdeno Chara cross-checked a guy.

I don't think weeping is appropriate at this juncture.

If the plaintiff wins his case and collects from the NFL, that would be the time to turn on the waterworks.

The lawyers are weeping…with joy

The fact that any group of Americans would actually bring a lawsuit over where a certain player is chosen in the NFL Draft, and there is a law firm who will take up tax payers court time, is enough to shed a tear for our country.
Doesn't matter if it goes to trail or even a pre-trial hearing, just filing a law suit takes up taxpayers court time.

You can always find a law firm that is willing to file a dumb ass lawsuit. Hopefully the judge laughs it out of court.

That's true today. And, before it gets to a judge there are filings, interrogatories, depositions, all a waste of taxpayers money. Don't count on judges laughing at it, not with the caliber of judges we have today.
Our civil legal system is as screwed up as the criminal system. We need a loser pay all expenses system, then it will get better.

Yes, there are tears to shed over our legal system in this country.

Dynasty Draft post:

Been in a Dynasty League for 5 years now. I have a penchant for drafting the second Pats WR (after missing out on the first).

This year, I took Chism with the very last pick in the draft (5.12)

I now have Boutte, Baker and Chism on my roster (very very deep bench)

Also claimed Larison off waivers.

At some point, one of these has to hit - right?

They all have the ability. Are they determined enough?

Who gets the credit for the 2025 draft class?

The 2025 was a pretty deep RB draft - this thread seems like a good place for this nugget:

I wouldn't trade Henderson for any of the other RBs, but I think all the teams here are probably pleased with the performances they've gotten out of their picks.

For some reason, all of these starts are correct except for Jeanty. He has 143 carries, 547 yards, 3.8 YPC; 23 Rec, 136 yards

You're right - I had grok generate the table and I told it to use pro-football-reference.com for the stats. I double-checked a few for accuracy (Henderson, Harvey and Skettebo) and when they were correct I assumed that the whole table was correct.
