2025 Mock Draft Sim

I'd argue there's not a ton of difference between the '1st' rated tackle and the '6th' rated tackle, and none of them are worth Pick #4.
If the Patriots could draft Matt Light or Sebastian Volllmer at #4 - given the other options in this draft - would that be worth it? I don't think anyone thinks that Jonathan Ogden is in this draft, but Campbell is pretty likely to come in and be the 10-15th best LT in the league for a decade. And if not, he's likely Logan Mankins with the ability to kick out to OT in a pinch. In this draft, I'll take that at 4. There just aren't any slam dunks.

Ersery has a higher ceiling, but isn't anywhere close to being a sure thing.

Dline or trade back. Address OT at the top of the second or trade up into the back of the first.

I finally broke down and did a mock draft even though I have next to no knowledge of college players these days. :shrug-n: It should be noted that Travis Hunter dropped to 8 in my mock draft.

Don't forget to draft a Kicker
Its not considered a year with kickers that people will be taking in rounds 4 or 5, let's put it that way. No Moodys or anyone like that in the bunch.

Note that I haven't scouted the kickers, if I even could. But based on what I've seen I'd be surprised to see any go before round 6 at the absolute earliest. The two that seem to be highest rated are from FSU and Ole Miss, which calls into question their cold-weather effectiveness.

The Pittsburgh kickah might be decent
FSU kid was 100% this year and 91% last year. This year he was 5-5 from 50+, including a 59 yarder. And yet, he doesn't seem to get the draftable attention that guys like Moody and Ryland got.

Fitzgerald could be worth a late draft pick for the Pats. I'd do it if I were in charge.

I have zero idea how I would go about scouting a kicker outside of looking at his pure stats, maybe focus specifically on his performance in critical situations and bad weather.

Tough picking a Florida kicker.
Like, I love Borregales, but I don't know that he's ever kicked in a game under 60 degrees.

It sure seems like the kickers get better and better every year.
