2025 NEP Draft Prospects

Anyone have an opinion on this dude? I heard an interview with him and was impressed. But I know nothing about him as a player. he is playing in the reeses senior bowl. he seems intelligent . i'm a sucker for the smart ones.

To each their own.

He can use Polk , Baker, Bourne , Douglas or Boutte. The Patriots are loaded with #3 & #4 Options. They had a great opportunity to draft Ladd mcCorkey he wasn’t a Patriots mold WR 🤬

Of those guys only Douglas has the short area agility of Welker/Edelman, but both of those guys were built more solidly than Pop...I don't think Pop is going to be a guy that catches 100 balls over the middle.

He was used really well this past year - not a bad option. There are better EDGEs out there, but not many.
He's a little small to be a DE in a 4-2, 6'2" 250. More of a traditional 3-4 OLB. Word is they're going to be transitioning to more of a 4-2-5 from the 3-3-5 (3-2-6) that Belichick likes, and you do need a bigger end for those sets. Keion White's size is perfect for it, for example, and he's even big enough to where he could kick inside as a 3-tech if you had some solid ends.

thanks!

Two guys who need to check out medically, who missed at least the end of the season but I think are otherwise at the very top of their position groups:
LT Josh Simmons from Oohi, and
CB Ben Morrison from Notre Dame

Check them out and steal them later.

Lazar said he looked good, then gushed about a bunch of other Dlinemen.
Apparently there’s a lot of front seven talent at the Senior Bowl.

Just a hunch on my part, but think Vrabel is looking for players in his own image, tough, won’t back down,,
Somebody that’s not soft. And could see Vrabel tacking a Dline first.

So apparently his Injury was a torn Patella Tendon, the same injury Cole Strange had, so it is questionable if he is going to a day 1 starter....so you might not get him at full strength till next season ('26)....so you might just want to draft someone that can help in the '25 season.

I can appreciate that, but it's ST/LT. If he is a long term left tackle, he's worth a 3 or a 4. I don't think either of them will be ready to go by camp, and Simmons would be very doubtful to be ready for the start of the year. I'll take him after most other guys in rounds 3 or 4. It's not all about this coming year.

Stop trying to draft......................waste of time. The draft will be completely reliant on how this group can do in free agency.

With $140M+ to spend, the first purchase will be one of 8 LTs. Then a CB, Edge, WR, OG, LB, then finally a Safety.

Some names to be watching, other than the top two at every position:

LT - Ronnie Stanley, Mekhi Becton
ED - Malcom Koonce, Chase Young.....................maybe Matthew Judon
LB - Dre Greenlaw, Nick Bellore..........
CB - Carlton Davis, DJ Reed................resign Johnathan Jones
OG - Will Fries, Zach Martin
S - Camryn Bynum, Justin Reed
WR - Marquis Brown, Darius Slayton
RB - JK Dobbs

There are a hundred plus more, all looking for a 2025+ paycheck.

Looking FA is a waste of time too until we see who actually is on the market....alot of names people like to get excited about never make it to FA.

There are 3, maybe 4 players on your list, I'd actually want on this team.

His post that drafting is a waste of time is the most ill-conceived statement . He has ever posted. His priority is instant gratification. We aren't an desirable destination for free agents.

I think he meant mock drafts are a waste of time until we see what holes we fill in free agency.

For what it is worth, I just heard Breer say some teams only have two Blue Chip top-5 or even top-10 talents in this draft....hint WR and OT arent those positions. If we have a chance to take Hunter or Carter you just have to take them......if they are both gone you just have to go with your board and hope you are right, because you aren't getting the normal talent at 4 you normally would.
