Never understood that hire.

Yes - he's not been successful at all. His career winning percentage is .398.

That's pretty low - in six years as a head coach, he had one season above .500. And has never led a team to the playoffs.

That was a strange year. The Bucs and Giants each won 10 games and failed to make the playoffs. The 7-9 Seahawks won their division and everyone was up in arms over the idea that a team with a losing record could make the playoffs. Then the Seahawks knock off the 11-5 Saints (and defending SB champs) in the WC round. :ROFLMAO:

From what I've read, the owner made a statement that said he decided a change at head coach was needed. So yes, I think it's fair to say that the Ravens have fired Harbaugh.
